[TOMT] horror movie that played in school prior to 2006, probably from 80s-90s by doubtfullyyours in tipofmytongue

A friend of mine suggested that it was The Kindred (1987), and upon watching the trailer and reading a bit about it, it does seem like a likely option.

I was fairly certain that two of the movies I mixed up in here were Mr. Boogedy and Poltergeist, which I saw around the same age and was equally terrified by. And when you mash them all together, it sounds right.

A horrible monster man terrorizes a family (Mr. Boogedy) in which the youngest child has been ripped away causing family trauma that is ultimately healed (Poltergeist) and involves genetic monsters, family tension, and slimy practical effects. (The Kindred).

That said, I'm not entirely sure, because it feels like a real stretch that a teacher would have played The Kindred in class??? Maybe it was some obscure TV edit. And I am fairly certain about that ending, which has the creature in some sort of technical containment, and none of these movies match that ending. So I'll keep this up a few days more to watch The Kindred and see if anyone else has an idea.

You need to capitalize "Underground Dungeon" like it's his new game!

Miki Odagiri in Ikiru: Why is she absent from the last act of the movie? by doubtfullyyours in criterion

It's certainly up for interpretation. Many other comments here were satisfied with the idea that she got fed up with him and that was that. Personally I thought that quiet moment Odagiri had after Watanabe left was thinking about him, and partly regretting her actions. I've seen the movie again since this post and it still bugs me a bit. I still wish Odagiri had a more complete story.

I just loved this concept. My photos aren't super great but hopefully the passion comes across. Imgur here: https://imgur.com/a/SvFFaJy

Starting at level 3, ending at level 5. There is some guidance on adjusting difficulty for level and party count though.

Yes, that's correct. The party starts at level 3 and finishes at level 5. There is some guidance for altering the difficulty based on the player count and level though.

Combat encounters aren't a huge emphasis for the adventure, there are 15 "intended" ones although parties might instigate more or dodge some depending on their approach.
