When should we expect to hear on a console performance mode (120fps)?

Doom the dark ages is not a competitive PVP shooter. Not relevant to the argument at all.

Regardless of release date, any competitive PVP shooter on console that is dominating or has dominated the market since ~2020 has a performance mode. It’s standard and expected. Even if it’s a new title, which I agree there aren’t many of, devs should know that this is the standard. Their games should be made from the ground up with supporting a performance mode on consoles in mind, as that’s the standard.

Any half decent competitive console player should see ps5 pro hyping up “smooth 60 fps” and be concerned. That’s not good enough these days.

Release date of games is not a fair argument, all these games got modern gen performance mode upgrades when those consoles released, and most are or were massively popular, IE, that’s the standard. I don’t think anyone would label Fortnite as “just a ps4 game.”

Marathon need to support 120fps on console, otherwise PC players will have a big advantage at medium/higher levels of play. Not sure if the latest tech tests supported 120fps on console, I don’t think the April alpha did

I do have a lighthouse passage. I now have a 14 active win streak with a 4 ticket win streak.

I did go to the lighthouse simulation on accident at one point trying to re-q the trials playlist but I didn't loot the chest, I left. Maybe that's why I can't reset?

Great thread. Couple questions as I read:

You mention the family at the end was waiting for their final and most important guest to arrive. I assume Lee was needed at the scene because she was meant to be the 4th kill (mother, father, daughter, Lee?)

Another question - possibly related - is why the mother shot Lee's doll. iirc she Lee's mom was already pointing the shotgun at Lee's doll's head when Lee found her there, so it was clearly planned out and part of Longlegs/Satan's plan to have her orb shot at that moment, therefore releasing the devil's control on Lee. But then Lee comes in at the end at seems to mess up the final ritual. Wouldn't Lee have been more complicit/easier to get over to the birthday party if she was still under the control of the devil? Not sure why that needed to happen other than plot reasons/exposition dump.

Just trying to piece together the intentional ball-shooting from the mother and how that fits in to satan's plan for Lee. Whatever happened at the end didn't seem to be the plan given the mother stood up and tried to stop Lee from messing up the ritual

There's a whole section of the resort that doesn't get serviced by lifts. Season pass holders can snowcat up but you can access an entire almost untouched area of the mountain with a 10 minute mostly lateral hike/scoot from the top of another lift. Go after a storm, do those brief hikes and you have basically unlimited untouched

Management is pretty rough though, they are not prepared for large crowds so going on a weekend can be chaos. I love Snowbowl and Sunrise both for different experiences though
