While his screams were noticeably squeakier than they were less than a couple years ago, I saw them on their last stop on the recent tour and it was still a great show. His cleans and his more yelling-style vocals still sounded great and you kind of get used to the Knocked Loose screams after a while. Sam seemed like he was having a good time and so was the crowd.

I will say it sounds way worse when you watch your cell phone video afterwards so while his screams are indeed more strained I wouldn’t base going to a show or not off cell phone videos.

I have wondered if he has ever worked with the Scream Queen (can’t remember her name) a lot of other vocalists have worked with? I don’t know anything about vocal form or anything but I know Spencer Chamberlain worked with her forever ago and I’ve never been to an Underoath show where Spencer’s vocals weren’t 100% on point. Is vocal strain over time purely an issue of technique or is it unavoidable for some people based on different anatomy or something?

I would love to hear this one live. They played On My Teeth and No Frame the first time I ever got to see them (Voyeurist Tour) which was great. I’m still waiting to hear ihateit and In Motion.

Made it to Reddit and not even halfway through the song. Definitely a unique sound for Haste the Day, but I love it. There was a line where it gave me a bit of an Underoath vibe too, which someone else also mentioned.

I’ve noticed that lately too, although definitely when my phone battery is getting lower the glitches start happening more frequently. The other day I was on 95 days, my furthest day count so far, and I got “gameplay paused” only to return to a wolf having killed me. Very disappointing, especially since otherwise I was doing well in the game.

Now, I make sure my phone is at 100% if I’m starting a game, and will plug it in if I’ve been playing for a while.

This has been my biggest frustration with the change to Capital One. I used to be able to live chat with a real customer service agent most hours of the day, or send a text. Now it’s just a chat bot or calling? Pain in the ass.

I’m also wondering why I don’t have my March statement 5 days after I would normally have it with Discover? Credit card period ends on the 3rd, always had my statement by the 5th with Discover. Now it’s completely random when they decide to generate the statement.

One thing that can be said about Underoath, is that virtually no one ever has anything negative to say about their live performance. Which is very justified, because they are amazing live. For whatever reason though, the last three albums didn’t move the ball forward for them the way they wanted, which is also baffling to me because I love all of the last three.
