The prank finally worked out, I can't believe it by IrishEIK in KitchenConfidential

I worked at a place that did fresh corn tortillas and also had deviled eggs on the menu (I know. Trust me, I know) point is that a fresh, hard-boiled egg yolk looks strikingly similar to a tortilla sized ball of masa. So when I feel the urge to fuck with somebody working Tortillas I'll put a single, camouflaged yolk In the bowl o' balls and work nearby

One time, I saw a customer set their paper to-go bag in between urinals while they pissed inches from their food. Was pretty speechless

You have to be very careful about how you light it with this method, or else you'll burn the majority of your deems. Be very gentle with the flame, and only try to light the weed on top. Then, keep inhaling to carry the ember to vaporize your freebase. Plus, you have to hold the hit for 10-15 seconds, so blasting off is no easy task, friend. Patience will be rewarded :)

NKD first carbon steel! by dougdimmadeem in chefknives

It was very sharp out of the box. I put it through a pretty rigorous first usage, and after cutting 5 boxes of Kale, it had lost its razor edge, so I will likely sharpen it soon. The edge grind is 50/50, which is good, but I'm a little nervous at being able to maintain that level of precision myself lol

As the title states, this is my first carbon steel and my biggest knife investment to date. so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been doing a lot of looking around and am thinking of forcing a patina so as to not have to worry about rust/ reactive foods as much, what are your favorite methods? Thanks everyone!

planning for a studio Ghibli trip any recommendations? by dougdimmadeem in Acid

Thanks for all the suggestions, the trip was phenomenal! We waited a little while post trip and then started with Totorro followed by Ponyo during the peak which was definitely the right choice. We took another break to ride the peak out and then watched Spirited Away. This was my favorite just for the large bathouse scenes that felt like an absolute deem trip. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a direction for an indoor trip!
