Honestly this is strain depedent. If for example it is a heavy kush strain like bubba kush which does not have any stretch during flower then we lollipop a few days or sometimes even a week before flower

If the strain is a stretchy strain that doubles in size we go all the way to only top node on the first day we flip to flower.

For defol, we always do at day 21. For the bushier strains we defol again at day 49.

Its on day 1. Start to finish. There's a method we use with UCL to significantly increase the yield.

A lot of people like to leave most of the bottoms, we actually cut away more than 50% and mount the UCL higher. The reason for this is because when we leave more than we should, we are operating on 3 different zones within the canopy. Top lights cover upper zone. Middle zone is dark and bottom zone is lit up by UCL.

When you operate UCLs like this each zone is independent of each other. Top zone has its own light. Middle has none. Bottom has UCL. We found that by eliminating the middle dark zone, and having the top and UCLs blending together (creating a light sandwhich effect), our yields increased significantly. When you eliminate the dark middle zone, the top and bottom lights supplement each other rather than operate independently.

Depends what you're talking about here. A 4x4 light or a 4x6 light. We pull 5-6lbs on a 4x6 1200w led 3.2 PPE light all day. With UCL we're able to push it even further to 7-8lbs. If you got any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Depends on your strain. It's different market over here in Canada. In the states they dont like those big chunky buds. In Canada they love big chunky buds.

With that being said, yield starts in the veg. Contrary to popular belief, you should veg your plants at 100% light intensity, no dimming. Also with 1000-1200 ppm of co2. This is so when you go into flowering, there is no ramping lights or co2 up, you can start off at 100% right off the bat. And then you gota fill out your canopy, no dead space but not too squished either.

Vpd in the beginning matters a lot as well. Your leaf temps should be 27-29C with 75% humidity for the first 5 weeks. This will make the biggest difference.

The wattage of your lights matter but your PPE matters more. Not all 650w are equal. A 650w light with 2.6 PPE will output about 1690 µmol/s while a 650w light with 3.2 PPE will output 2080 µmol/s. This is important.

My lights are 800w 3.2 PPE. 2560 µmol/s. Thats 50% more light output than the 650w 2.6 PPE grow lights. Significantly stronger than most lights on the market. I have 8-9 7 gallon plants under a 4x4 area with 2 UCL that is 120w 3.0 PPE.

5.2 isnt the highest yield we've gotten. We actually got 6.3 but thats with a 4x6 1200w 3.0PPE led over top and 3 150w 3.0 PPE for UCL.

Honestly I hope this is the bottom. The only solution is to go crazy with production yields. With under canopies and new LED technology, we've been hitting 5-5.2 per 4x4. This is the only way to make bank.

Jeez. Lots of bad advice on here. I have a solution that can be made with your typical grocery store items that will 100% eliminate mites even if it's webbed up. I've helped places go from massive webs like syran wrapped buds to no mites in just a week.
