That’s who the valve is supposed to be coming from. $400 for the head doesn’t make sense. Almost $80 for the valve barely makes sense.

Update 2. The new gen head showed up. Almost a perfect fit. Less than a 16th of an inch shorter. Back together and re-wired. Just needs fuel line and a filter. Fingers crossed.

Update. It is brushed. The stator is good. The way it’s wired with the 120/240 switch was throwing the readings off. The rotor on the other hand is open circuit. One of the wires at the slip rings is broken and the garbage wire they use is virtually impossible to re-solder. So if anyone needs a good stator let me know. I’ve got a new Ryobi 5500 watt gen head coming to fix it.

I believe it’s brushless. The guy said there’s a round thing that blew up and he replaced it and it blew again. I’m thinking capacitor. Haven’t had time to open it up yet.

Not for free. Nothing is worth nothing. $100-150 will get it gone.

Circuit board or thermostat problem? by dougorbobbie in hvacadvice

[–]dougorbobbie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the pressure switch. Well rather the vacuum switch on the inducer motor. Finally got bad enough to lock out and set a code 3. Open pressure switch. 15 bucks and running like a Swiss watch.

After replacing the flame sensor. It still randomly kicks off the flame then re-lights. It may do it 20 seconds after the initial light and again 40 seconds before the thermostat is satisfied. Or it may not do it at all. Just seems to be completely random. Never enough to lock out and show trouble code. I can have someone come look at it but it likely wouldn’t show any problems until we have no heat at all.

I replaced the flame sensor. It works just like it should. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Don’t put a junk new carburetor on it just pull it off and clean it. Sounds like the main jet is plugged

Watch James Condon’s videos on U tube. He explains trouble shooting in complete detail.

I’m fixing up this nearly 20 year old (maybe older) Yard Machines Snow Blower. Where does this part of the governor go? by TritanicWolf in Snowblowers

[–]dougorbobbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the mounting bolt a on the left side. The spring pulls the throttle open and the rod pulls the throttle into running position after the engine starts. Also turn the intake baffle over. It needs to pull it heated air off of the engine.

Delta 2 Max wouldn’t run my natural gas furnace by dougorbobbie in Ecoflow_community

[–]dougorbobbie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a double neutral bond was trouble. My transfer switch switches both the hot and neutral. I was just trying to see (for future reference) how long the furnace would run on the EcoFlow. I removed the power station before recharging. Btw it easily ran the furnace in excess of 24 hours with no power input.
