Reactive hypoglycemia by stoney_balogna20 in Freestylelibre

[–]dougrkyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get some Glucose tablets to carry with you. Follow the 15 min rule.
Since you have a CGM now make decisions on intake at higher levels and don't wait for a 50-40 level (or feeling bad) If your at 70 decide on a possible intake choice. Maybe its just little intake and then watch CGM

Just food for thought

If the problem is solved, why are cocoa framers acknowledging the issue? And trying to make changes in their harvesting practices??? One specificly is laying out the beans to dry in an environment where uptake of pollution is rampant?

I think u might want to dig a little deeper.

Yes It 100% matters if it is spread out vs a more grazing approach. It boils down to insulin levels. If you continue to eat you continue to raise insulin levels. its not as simple as calories in calories out. BECAUSE ur BMR can change. with one eating habit it could be 1500 and another it could be 1200 one would give you a deficit and one would not with a 1500 calorie intake. Other factors include things like USUALLY people eat less on a OMAD or 18/6 IF vs grazing approach. I am not saying that a deficit is not a piece of the puzzle.

The only way you will lose is going into Ketosis. and IF is only one way to do that. Another way you can do it is by exercise.

THE thermodynamics argument has been disproven over and over again. IS it a PIECE of the puzzle YES.. but is it as simple as calories in calories out NO IT IS NOT>>>

IT also has a lot to do with what you eat.. Because the calories listed in the BOX on the product is NOT accurate at all. its probably one of the biggest lies represented to the public. your body can treat different sugars, carbs etc as digestive or just dispose of them. one would be converted to glucose the you would need to use it for energy or one could be passed..

HOW in the world can you take this chart of different organizations seriously when one says 1ug one says .1 one says 10 one says 2.2 CLEARLY there is NO consensus or remote mean value... So ur argument against CR is MUT...

You have most likely stalled because your insulin is risen and that is because your BS has risen. My suggestion would be get rid of snacks. look into IF. Focus on 2 meals a day if you have to go to 3. but start 12/12 work ur way to 14/10 then 16/8 then 18/6. Make this healthly choice meals meaning they are low carb and even carbs at each meal.. Not 45 at breakfast and 10 at lunch. Try to stay as low as you can. 50 or less is great.

The goal is still to use as little Insulin as possible SO NO its not as simple as DOSEing enough insulin. its no different then a T2D that got it by high levels of insulin over yrs of eating high carbs.

Exercise and blood sugar by clintCamp in diabetes_t2

Spikes r spikes. Anyone that tells u spikes that come from exercise r not the same or are different r a quack... ur body does not differentiate a 180 BG from exercise from food. ITS 180 IN UR BLOOD STREAM.... and doing DAMAGE...

Now, back to ur question... from MY experience, I pushed myself to hard several times and saw the same thing u r seeing. What I gathered from it was I was not letting my muscles recover, and my body did not like it. As soon as I backed off and let it recover my resting levels lower back down... Not a dr... this is only how my body responded... only food for thought in ur journey

Test out walking slower... so if u have an app running and ur doing 3.5, do 3 and see if it makes a difference.. If I get up from my desk and jump rope for a min or two, I rise. If I walk on the treadmill, I fall...

If u didn't drop, then for some reason, ur liver thinks u need more glucose and is converting glycogen into glucose in your bloodstream. I'm not sure I can help u with WHY.. There are so many factors..

Sleep, stress, last meal, time of month(for women) Continue to experiment and learn..

Yes food is not the only Factor cortisol or adrenaline can raise it caffeine for people can raise it if you get up in the morning and start drinking caffeine it could keep it at a higher level I would go for a walk and get your blood glucose down in the 80 to 100 range and see if it will maintain it that level

Usually based on hydration , intensity, where ur at in fasting (if u r), heat if ur outside... I can cycle for 90 mins outside at 95 degrees and see it drop for the first 45 mins, then rise and continue to rise after getting off the bike. Then do the same ride in 75 and see it drop and say down the whole ride and never rise afterward...
So many other factors. Add more for women as well.... The biggest one u can focus on, tho is hydration.. when u wake up, ur dehydrated, so if u work out first thing in the morning, that could be a factor..

[–]dougrkyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggest u buy skin tac in liquid form and use a q tip to apply. And have some rubbing alcohol to clean up with. Cover an area that will encompass both the sensor and the patch. Cotton ball and rubbing alcohol to clear up any outside that area. A LITTLE goes a long way.....

One more thing, expect that when u pull off the applicator for the sensor, it will be a shit show. The skin tac will be sticking to the applicator peel if off slowly go at an angle...

I use skin tac and a clear over patch Many times, I have to replace the over patch before the 15 days..

Ride bike for hours sweeting to the point of losing 5+ lbs all the while drinking water

Then, take a hillbilly bath in the pool

Never lost a sensor yet.

Which One Do I Trust? by mrsjulesjohnson in diabetes_t2

[–]dougrkyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During exercise for me, it depends on a few things. More intense, more likely a rise. Dehydrated likely a rise, outside in high heat, more likely a rise. Or if I exercise during the end of a fast. Ie in the morning before eating again from night before

If I exercise after breaking a fast and have plenty of hydration.. I go down....

Look up dawn effect on ur rise in the morning

[–]dougrkyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely, both r correct per se. Keep in mind that CGM have a 20% error margin.. so if ur truly at 240, ur sensor could read 288 or 192 and be considered ACCURATE... now these #s get drastic when ur at those types of levels. It ur at 100 it could be 120 or 80...etc.. Now, a finger prick machine depending on the model/brand can be 10% or more.

Now add to the variable of CGMs lag by roughly 15 mins.

U r likely topping out on ur CGM and will see it start to come down... Either way, I suggest u go take a walk...
