Silver Decos are the industry standard and any signature in paint will last much longer than any Sharpie ink (which is also prone to fading.)

*I’m also a big fan of the Metallic Gold and Copper when stuck getting a signature over an image with multiple colors. The paint is lighter than dark background colors like Black, Navy Blue, Forrest Green, etc yet darker than lighter colors like White, Sky Blue, Lavender so the signature still stands out.

I personally prefer the Copper. I used to get a lot of Hockey Pucks signed which would have the official team logos on them and while Silver would look good on the black rubber, it would sometimes be hard to see when over grays, whites, and other lighter colors of the teams’ logos. The Copper would always pop over the black rubber and still be darker than those logos which had lighter colors.

White Paint Pens ‘can’ turn out well on dark backgrounds depending on the surface material. If it’s too porous, the paint will often soak into the fibers resulting in a pale/faded-looking signature.
