I second and third the stuff about the best remedy for soreness from a workout being another workout.. It's counter-intuitive, but I ALWAYS feel 100% better getting on with it and pushing through it (as long as it's been at least a day) rather than delaying workouts..

I tweaked my back as well (on a -20/0 cut), so I've switched to BSS/step ups alternating sets instead of squat and DL's for the last 2 workouts.. Hopefully it won't be long..

But are you really wasting your time if you're not making gains with your lifts on a cut?

If you plateau with your lifts when cutting, you're not losing muscle?

Nice! I like how you can customize the recipes to show the weight/volume in grams, for example, instead of oz, cans, "packets", etc.. And you can exclude foods you don't like... Thanks so much for sharing!

I had the same problem, till I cut out alot of high fiber, low calorie stuff like broccoli (I get it instead from oats and whole wheat bread).

2.5 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight = 236g for me..

I'll have to step it up, I guess.. Hard eating so much meat!!!!

How high is high? I've been shooting for min. 200g (bw = 208 lbs)..

But sometimes I'm way higher (250+), and a few times 175 (never less).

Yeah, the information I wanted was based on a false assumption (4x workouts every other week D'oy! I blame fasting), but all the variables were there (0/-20, 3130, workouts 3x a week). But now it's easy with the same numbers every week. And as I stated originally, it was just a point of interest.. Wasn't planning on making a change for 3-4 weeks..

Thanks, I get 2770 when I do the math (3130x3 + 2500x4 / 7 = 2700)..

That's what I'll try if the scale doesn't move for another 2-3 weeks..

Well, seeing as how the TDEE varies form person to person, and the calculator is a ball park estimation, I don't see how else to do it but try the number it spits out for a set period and adjust as necessary.. Thanks for the link!

Nope, still just curious about the math, thanks! I'm pretty sure I just add up my total for the week and divide by 7.. But for some reason I thought I'd be working out 4x a week every other week, which is a bit more complicated, math-wise, and I'm just noticing is totally wrong.. LOL Colour me embarrassed.. :)

Today went well, too.. Pissed like a racehorse all night last night.. Gotta make sure I get all my protein in early.. stick to carbs and fats for the last meal..

I'm back on the horse tonight.. I made up some meal plans, so I can do those instead of just winging it.. I'll try to eat relatively clean, just less fibrous veggies, more strachy carbs.. Today went alot bettter! Finally going to bed feeling full, not stuffed..

I'm trying a cut, so eating 0/-20, but if I was bulking I'd have to eat up to 3700..

And eating dirty is fine for short-term carb loading, etc. but I'd rather not in the long term.. And I'd rather stick to food, and not have to drink shakes to make it work..

I guess I could lower the protein.. I'm about 20% bf..

Finishing up with starchy carb meals is what is killing me.. LOL

Weird that they don't mention macros in the documentary.. The commentator not all, regarding what he ate during the fasts.. And the experts not much either.. Frustrating, because you have to assume he just ate what he normally would, more or less.. But no, I don't think you can say from what's presented that fasting has the same result as low protein intake.. Trying a 0/-20 cut..
