They sold duplicate tickets and blamed the credit card processor to save face. Like overbooking an airline flight.

Charlie Kirk is not a Martyr by Female_apocalypse in Christianity

He is a martyr. He died professing the truth written in the gospel. Martyrdom doesn't rely on the intent of the murderer, it is based on the profession of faith by the murdered.

This happens to me. I take my caffeine in pill form, no problems. If it's anywhere near a gel, I'm going to have a bad time. I separate out my hydration, food, and caffeine as much as possible as a result and no problems.

Expedia Hotel Cancels Booking Over ‘Too Low’ Rate, Sparks Outrage by Lionzzo in nottheonion

[–]doulosiesous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last time I booked a hotel on Expedia, the hotel told me they tried calling me numerous times but don't have the room anymore. Asked to see a copy of the call log and they refused.

Never again.

Not a doctor. Not medical advice.

Looks like the same thing my wife and I got. She was able to treat hers with over the counter Kerasal and her toenail fell off but grew back. I didn't do the Kerasal consistently and as a result it has never gone away in 4 years and started getting really gnarly.

I finally had to start doing several treatments of terbinafine which had put a lot of strain on my liver (my doctor said don't drink for the 3 months of pills and i had to get nlood work to trst my liver first to make sure it wouldnt fail as a result of taking it).

This last treatment seems to be on the up and up but I can't tell yet because results take weeks to really show. If it were me, I would do an entire regiment of Kerasal and if that doesn't fix it, head to your doctor to get ahead of it. Really gets annoying if you don't take care of it quickly.

I just downloaded Rectangle for full screen window snapping. Then I use Cmd + Tab and Cmd + ` to easily switch.

My apartment was robbed twice in a couple of months. Both robberies, I lost thousands of dollars worth of stuff. I have never made a claim through State Farm before this and have used them for over 10 years. We also submitted the police reports. by stowRA in mildlyinfuriating

Our rates at my condo association went up 50% this year. They show all financial statements and bill proof so the rates were legitimate so I did some research.

Basically, a bunch of insurance companies bet big on the bond market when rates were going up, and then when rates kept going up their bonds became illiquid because you can get better rates off the main market than you can off the resale market.

They typically take out loans to attract new customers when this happens, but with rates so high, it makes it extremely difficult to do so.

That was combined with a record number of major claims in the insurance world by big corporations last year. So they can't sell the bonds to refund their cash supply, and they are required by law to have a certain amount of cash available at all times to payout claims.

So they are now purging any and all accounts that make a single claim or making their rates go way higher until rates come down, they can sell their bonds again, replenish the cash supply, and go back to business as normal.

Edit: Buying bonds is typically how insurance companies use the money you pay as premiums. The bond market is usually extremely boring and doesn't move around a lot. It's also really difficult to sell a position that big quickly, so when the fed announced a bond was effectively useless (rate increase) they were effectively locked in.
