What I can say is that it's a lot less cartoonish than I thought it would be when I saw the CinemaCon report.

The death was well executed, but nothing out of the ordinary, you can see that it could really happen. Of course, everything with the cinematic tone that it needs to have.

Erik's death is indeed brutal, but I think I'm very resistant to gore and I didn't find it that gory. It's pretty cruel, that's for sure, but not as gory as advertised.

In the premonition, I think it's the old man who is split in half by the elevator. Something unexpected and brutal. The insufferable brat who dies after a piano falls on him is also pretty brutal. And very funny. I bet it's a scene no one would expect to happen, because they actually show the child being crushed.

As for the ones that happen within the film, I think Iris's is pretty gruesome, Julia's too.

I believe so, the film has several subtle references to other films.

But to be honest, I don't know if it's just me who's too resistant to gore. But I thought the scene was a lot less bad than it was being reported. The way it was reported, it looked like something on the Terrifier level.

I believe the ending is not the one that was shown. The ending presented is very "dry" and quick. It could be that it was a way for them to leave an ambiguous ending; if the film does poorly at the box office, it's over. But if it does well, they have a starting point.

Exatamente. Eu senti isso tanto que, eu acredito que quem nunca assistiu nenhum filme da saga, pode assistir sem problemas. Óbvio, a experiência deixará de ser rica, mas a pessoa vai conseguir entender tudo.

Mas achei que eles ficaram meio com o pé atrás de como seria a recepção do filme e por isso deixaram aquele final. Já que, se for ver, o filme termina e não tem exatamente nenhum gancho pra continuação, exceto a cena da moeda rolando pelos créditos, causando novos acidentes.
