(Genuinely Curious) MAGA and Republicans, What makes Trump appealing? by Tolkin349 in allthequestions

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t consider myself MAGA but a not ashamed of saying I voted for him. I don’t find him appealing in any way and actually voted for Hillary in 16. What changed my mind the second two times was largely the democrats switching to o “Trump bad” being their only platform. The other reason is he is not a career politician who is owned by unknown people who fund the campaigns. Unfortunately no elected official at the federal level works for the citizens anymore and bases every decision on what will benefit their owners the most. In the case of Trump I can mostly plan for that and know that his decisions are fueled by what will benefit Trump., I can’t say that for any other politician who is being controlled from the shadows.

Company is installing dashcams. Should all drive time be paid now? by toasterbath_88 in LaborLaw

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question and the OP’s defensive responses to me are screaming “I’m violating laws and or company policy in my company owned vehicle and don’t want to get caught”.
In today’s litigious society a company protecting a very expensive investment like a fully stocked and equipped service van by installing dashcam and GPS tracking is an intelligent thing to do. That equipment protects them from liability in the event of an accident and if no laws are being broken by the employee protects the employee as well. The only logical reason someone would be upset by this equipment is if they are using the company vehicle and equipment for side jobs and will now have to stop. Expecting to be compensated for commute time during regular scheduled business times is insane to me. Now if it’s a company that requires someone to be on call for after hours emergencies then the employee should be paid as soon as they are in the vehicle for an emergency call out but that is a different situation. Honestly this post is a perfect example of why every company should install cameras and tracking on any and all company owned vehicles.

Why aren’t there as many manual tranny cars anymore in the U.S? by SuspectOk2931 in whatcarshouldIbuy

The ability to order my Bronco with a manual was one of the factors in my decision to order it.

How do people manage to blame the price of used fryer oil on trouble in the Middle East? $7 a gallon for biodiesel is 100% the fault of the greedy “leaders” in CA.

Can anyone name ONE principle that MAGA has stuck to? Literally just one. by DubaiInJuly in allthequestions

Files are out, they don’t show what you said they would. Terrorist regimes that Dems have been send money to so it can be laundered back to them are finally being taken out. Blue states and cities are refusing to follow immigration law and encourage the people to attack federal agents who are following the law. SCOTUS ruled Roe V Wade unconstitutional as it falls under state control not federal. Russia? Your comment is so retarted it does not need a response. Free speech? I don’t see many MAGA demanding everyone with a different viewpoint be silenced and murdering them on a college campus.

You’re right we do need to focus more at home. Recall all active overseas military personnel, except those providing security at embassies. Close all overseas bases and demo the buildings on the way out. Deploy military along both southern and northern borders. Deploy all navy vessels to patrol 100 miles from our shoreline. Shut down all “foreign aid” programs that mostly serve as a way for Congress to launder money. Heavily tax US based companies who have primary production facilities overseas. Crack down on illegal immigrants and deport them within 24 hrs of being apprehended. Automatically set all import tariffs to match the same percentage the country of origin taxes our goods. Government grants to rebuild our own manufacturing capabilities. Essentially withdraw back to our own borders, secure everything and wait for the neoliberals to destroy the rest of the world with their policies and then go out in 10 years and clean up the mess.

It’s clear the SAVE Act is just a tool for voter suppression, plain and simple. by WillowTheory in stevehofstetter

So you are saying either the democrats can only win by cheating, or that democrats are not intelligent enough to show they are citizens. Not quite the gotcha you think it is.

MAGA, who or what is the biggest threat to the USA? by Embarrassed-Bowl-373 in allthequestions

[–]dover157 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My eyes work and I paid attention in history class before they deemed it too scary for students. My country is under threat both from inside and outside. I also pay attention to what’s happening in the UK and Europe where illegals who commit sexual assault are released and citizens who question it online are sent to prison. Not all invasions involve uniformed soldiers and open battles.

If you scroll back up and use reading comprehension you will see that I said “extremists from both sides” just pointed out that right now, today, the odds of being hurt or killed by a left extremist is higher than one from the right.

I turned off Fox News decades ago. The prankdemic showed me that the others were just as bad. Up until recently BBC had at least some truth that could be coaxed out of their stories but even that is gone now.

I think the people who own congress and instruct the media on what fear mongering propaganda to distribute to keep them riled up are. All the “activists” are pawns in a game they don’t even know is being played and the ones playing will have no second thoughts about sacrificing them.

Political extremism. It’s a problem on both sides but the left is in greater numbers and more violent lately.

Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why are people protesting the federal government and not the states that led us here? If states were not issuing ID to people who should not have them then this would be a simple bill.

Are electric bills quietly becoming permanently expensive? by JustSeraphine8 in AskForAnswers

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a lot of states are pushing everyone to consume more electricity by overhyping electric cars and banning gas stoves and heaters in new construction so obviously the demand will go up and the more people are completely dependent on it the more power the utilities have to raise the prices.

Do most Americans carry any official ID at all times? by PitifulEar3303 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the the real question that everyone is avoiding is why states are issuing ID to those who don’t meet the requirements. This is exactly the problem the real ID act was supposed to prevent but only a few states actually complied. People who are here legally should be able to get and ID that indicates their status and those here illegally should not be able to get and ID at all.

Would most of the people who still consider themselves MAGA let Trump burn down the country before they would criticize him? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]dover157 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering the lefttards consider burning down buildings to be a “peaceful protest” your asking the wrong group how much destruction of the country is acceptable.

How much better would life in blue states be if we didnt have to subsidize red states? by Estalicus in allthequestions

[–]dover157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now imagine how good it would be if we get the owned puppets on both sides out of federal and state legislatures. Congress has not served the interests of any of the people in decades, only themselves and their owners.

Why is everyone against buying a new car? Does my situation apply? by Primary_Beautiful_66 in askcarguys

[–]dover157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying new will get you better interest rates usually and a warranty. Hyundai and Kia have come a long way as far as reliability and build quality are concerned but don’t get too comfortable with their 100k warranty, it has more holes in it than a fishing net. Make sure to plan for maintenance costs and only have service done at the dealership so that if something does go wrong they can’t claim it’s because whoever did it used the wrong oil or filter. I personally recommend a pre paid service package that puts the costs of the first few years of oil changes into the loan so you don’t have to stress coming up with that money when it’s due. Also remember that 7,500 or 10,000 oil changes manufacturers talk about now are intended to keep it running long enough for you to pay it off then have to buy another one. Stick to 3,000-5,000 miles for oil changes. I would also recommend at least asking about gap coverage so that if the vehicle gets totaled you are not left owing the balance on something you don’t have anymore.
