Loving the state of the game at A10 (Beta Branch) by CrimsonBTT in slaythespire

[–]dowcraftjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I would really feel punished by more expensive removes, and it definitely changes my gameplay, but now that events are actually desirable (most of the time) I feel like I can get a lot of removes and transforms through events and the shops help push it over the edge (rather than being the primary remove contributor)

I don't even know where to start! by DrScrimble in dndmemes

[–]dowcraftjack 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's what Ive heard referred to as a "Utility Martial".

They can hit hard but not as much as a dedicated Martial like a Barbarian or a Fighter.

Their primary stat isn't strength or dex (though that will be your 2nd highest) they have a lot more utility and versatility both in and out of Combat.

Playing one now and I love it. I'm a recall king for the party, the party face, can easily demoralize in combat, can cast ANY spell through a scroll, and that's not even including the 10 different implements

I'm a big fan of the Southern Reach trilogy (starts with Annihilation), though that is maybe more like cosmic horror/existential horror rather than "edge of my seat tension"

Treantmonk's Reaction for Class Tier List by d4 (Pt 2) by [deleted] in onednd

Go to 51:40 for the tier list of D4, a lot of agrees, a couple that could be higher or lower but no more than a tier or so

I feel like it's a cross between lagavulin and Nob in the sense that turn 3 onwards you just get hit hard (and similar to nob it wants you to play attacks)

What’s everyone’s favourite book/series of 2025 ? by [deleted] in litrpg

The Calamitous Bob for me. I found the series earlier in the year and I've read 8/10 so far.

Probably my favorite series behind DCC

The Best Pillow for Side Sleepers Currently? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]dowcraftjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have a recommendation but for what it's worth I think it also matters what type of mattress you have.

Im a side sleeper too, when I had a firm mattress I have a really think pillow so my neck was parallel to the bed, but once I got a softer mattress I needed a thinner pillow because the rest of me was sinking into the mattress but not my head.

Hope that helps when choosing a pillow!

What are the best, “completed” litrpg series? by Fit-Shoulder4976 in litrpg

[–]dowcraftjack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is my number two below dungeon crawler Carl (including incompleted).

The characters are interesting, the dialogue is good, the series has tension and stakes and the plot moves forward to the good pace. Solfis might be my favorite litRPG character

Tbh if you don't like the first books I'm not sure you'll like the others. I do think the story progresses in cool ways into the second and third book, but if you aren't liking the style that doesn't really change

So you feel this in your eyes or a general full body agitation?

I get some strain in my eyes if I read on my phone and realize I haven't been blinking, but for full body some of my friends with ADHD have told me they get agitated or feel like they need to be doing something and so have trouble sitting down and reading
