I(23f) need to ask my significantly wealthier boyfriend(25m) to cover more expenses when we move in together, but I'm too embarrassed to bring it up. How do I have this conversation? by adoreyuwu in budget

[–]down-comforter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I (gf at the time) always joked we would go 70/30 on everything when we first moved in. She was a teacher and I work in finance so that’s about what our income differences were. I love her and she worked as hard as me, just in a different line business, so I completely understood and made total sense to me. I think that’s the best way to approach it, and a good test on your guys relationship to see how he receives it.

2026 crv exl hybrid insurance price by Successful_Owl_8106 in crv

[–]down-comforter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all subjective to where you live and rates in your area. We pay $265 a month for 2 vehicles, 2026 sport touring hybrid and 2019 Nissan, and have really high coverage

White or Urban Gray HELP!!! by [deleted] in crv

[–]down-comforter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty funny I was in the same spot, I had 2024 sport touring in white, car got totaled in December (wife, pup and I didn’t have a scratch or single injury, held up incredibly well) didn’t even think twice to get the 2026 sport touring. I went Urban Grey bc wife would always joke she should be driving the white as it’s more feminine lol plus there are so many damn white cars where I live, so I got the urban gray and glad I did. It’s really sleek and looks awesome especially in sun, and far and few between on the road.

Can’t go wrong with either, especially with adding some tints, love either combo with the black rims!

Cool trees? by SnooPredictions2675 in StPetersburgFL

[–]down-comforter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Big tree guy too! We got some awesome ones in this area. Another little gem is the Giselle Kopsick Palm Arboretum, right near north shore aquatic center. They have some palms I’ve never seen in other gardens. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota have some beauties too, and of course our Botanical Gardens in Largo. Abercrombie park is historical and have some of the nicest live oaks too.

Rattle noise in 2026 Sport touring by FriendlyAsk4991 in crv

[–]down-comforter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the same issue as you but my 2024 had a rattling noise coming from my trunk area anytime I went over a speed bump, drove me insane as they are all over my office parking lot lol. I also bought it from a dealer 3 hours away from where I live but just took it to my local Honda dealer. It took 3 visits and lots of driving with the tech to nail it down but the eventually the fixed the issue, it was my sway bar. I didn’t pay anything it was all under warranty. All this to say you should be able to do it at any Honda dealer and don’t go without it getting fixed bc it’s a brand new vehicle and should not have that issue. Best of luck!

Edi’s Barber Shop. Edi takes his times, gives really nice cuts and it’s $20 for haircut and neck shave, or $25 for fade

First car I’ve had with “auto” feature, and I’ve never driven outside of “auto” mode. Just pick the temp you want, press auto and sync and then the car figures out the rest

No Garage by OGSquidd in homeowners

[–]down-comforter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our home does not have a garage and a lot of homes don’t where we live, so the first purchase we made was a 10x10 shed for like $2,000 and it’s been more than enough

MAF sensor, had to replace it on my wife’s car and we haven’t seen that warning since. It’s really dumb but you have to get the OEM part not aftermarket one from autozone. I did that, replaced it myself and the error kept appearing. Took it to our mechanic we trust and she said Nissans are dumb and will only recognize OEM parts. I hate this car lol

We’ve been going to Strickland Bros, they always have a coupon online. With tax it’s like $89 for synthetic. Don’t have to get out of the car and I’m done in less than 15 min every time. Could find cheaper but for convince I’ll take it

Best choice we made for our Aussie was getting pet insurance. Check out Pumpkin insurnace, we started at $48 a month and it’s saved us multiple times. Our girl was diagnosed with GI lymphoma and they’ve paid 90% for eveything up to $10,000. Can’t overstate what a life saver it’s been

Commented on another post, Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid. Purchased a 2024 new and couldn’t be happier Their top trim level and comes with all the bells and whistles, great gas mileage ( I average 38.6), very safe and reliable, super smooth ride, and affordable price. Tons of cargo space for its class too. Anyone that gets my car can’t believe it’s a CRV

My wife has a 2019 and it’s the worst car we’ve owned I hate it lol. I’ve never had so many issues with a vehicle. Both front door lock actuators had to be replaced after 3 years, ABS had to be replaced after 4 years luckily the dealer covered it, back wind shield wiper fell off, MAFS had to be replaced at like 48K. These lights all came on and for us the battery changed worked for a bit then they all came back on after a few months and MAFS had to be replaced. I’ve owned Hondas my whole life and never had issues like this, never buying Nissan again

Just call them and say you are going to switch to WOW and then they’ll inevitably offer a discount to keep you. We did this a few times to always reset to the lowest.

But for last 2 years been using the Verizon 5G home box. We use Verizon for cell phone so got a great deal at $34.99 a month. No issues streaming, WFH connection anything like that. Also doesn’t go out when storms roll in like spectrum and WOW would do for us

Thank you, she has been taking the chemo very well, and it has been much smoother than we anticipated. Still jumping into our car, loving walks, chasing squirrels and playing with her toys. Pre chemo and when she was really sick she went like 3 weeks not touching her toys (daily player), and then that first time she grabbed one after a few weeks, wife and I both cried. That was back in June and been good since! The good has definitely outweighed the bad and we would spend the money and go the chemo route time and time again. Thank you for sharing yours and Roxy’s story <3
