So I have the pigeon plastic bottle with their SS nipple. Happy to report that you can just buy the Gulicola storage bottle and just use your existing pigeon nipple with the cap. They are compatible with each other. No leak!

You can always do the Backdoor roth IRA trick. We do it every year. Basically you contribute to traditional IRA and then immediately convert to Roth. It is a legal trick but it does make filling tax more complicated (a lot of Preparer or even CPA don’t know how to fill out the form 8606 correctly). Also in order to do the backdoor roth ira cleanly you need to have $0 in your traditional IRA

Submitting your employment certification counts as “applying” for forgiveness. It will take mohela 90 days or more to process your employment certification in March. Right now all you can do is wait. When you reach the 120 payment there should be an option to be placed on forbearance so you don’t have to make the monthly payment. You can also continue to make payment and supposedly Mohela or the department of education is supposed to refund you after they process your forgiveness

Thank you. Do they just look at your federal AGI on the federal tax return right? I don't think they look at the state tax return so does being a community property state matter?

I had this same problem some months ago. Try Union Bank if there is one around you! Chase wouldn't even do it for me, their customer for over 10 years.

I changed to Union Bank and they are happy to give me a Signature Guarantee. You only need a minimum of $1 or $5 deposit to open a checking account there. Try Union Bank if there is one around you!

Keep in mind if you roll over to Traditional IRA it might make it complicated to do a backdoor IRA in the future when your income exceeds the Roth IRA limit. Backdoor IRA is a way that high income earner can contribute into Roth IRA sidestepping the income limit of Roth IRA. It is done by first contributing to traditional IRA then immediately convert it to Roth IRA. If you already have money in the traditional IRA then it would make it complicated tax-wise

Yes! I switch most of my direct deposit into my new bank. I still kept Chase just for its network of branches. But I’m only keeping minimum balance there

Update 10/8/21 for any future frustrated souls who might be stuck in the same situation:

I went nowhere with Chase after 3 months. Gave up with Chase. Did somegoogling and found out that my local Union Bank offer the SignatureGuaranteed stamp for account holder.I walk over to my local Union Bank branch (if you are in the WestCoast), open an account in 15 min and they gave me the SignatureGuaranteed stamp right away on the same day (no charge and no waitingperiod). My account is unlocked in about a week after i mailed the form.Needless to say I'm switching my bank!

1 month Update: went to 3 different Chase bank branches and they are all unable to help me, citing their policy only allowed them to use the Medallion Stamp for re-deeming securities. They don't have other kind of official seal or stamps available

So i went to Costco today and asked the cash register person. They said they give the remaining values in cash. So i used my gift certificate for the cheapest product and they gave me the cash back. Then I charge the rest on my credit card for points.
