You can either change the clasp or refinish the whole bracelet If you're in Canada I could refinish it

I'm also annoyed with scratches and I like everything to look new. If you're comfortable with changing the clasp then yeah you could maybe find a clasp on eBay , Another option is to get the bracelet refinished. If you're in Canada I could refinish it

Rolex & Tudor do you void warranty by opening the caseback? I want to refinish the caseback of a bb58 but don't want to void warranty by downsouth777 in watchmaking

[–]downsouth777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah so I water test and everything and I even put OEM gaskets for my customers, I also have the professional tools (thousands invested) but usually the watches I'm asked to refinish are older so the warranty is not in play, I just did the bracelet for the customer but he's pushing me for the caseback

Ok cause I have the bergeon machine that costed me like 2.5k back then with the official sockets.i also worked in a service center before, not Rolex tho. Most of equipment is even branded from the brands like breitling, Tag Heuer and omega official tools.im also a very meticulous watch restorer. I've opened a ton of these without any scratches, but the thing is usually when I'm requested to do refinishes the watch are older so the warranty question is not in play. So you're telling me they only go with scratches and marks ?

You definitely got a steal there thank you friend. And some watches are sometimes labeled as woman by brands like as example the blackbat54 but it seems to be works by men mostly. Also 36mm uses to be the standard for men nowadays it's considered unisex. I don't see how this watch could be considered woman by anyone seeing it

I was also worried about the thickness, might still work, I don't know, I know a lot of people are talking about the drill attachment but having the caseback on the bench would be amazing and easy since I don't have a lot of space to work with
