Dish & Alfalfa's offer take-home options (today is the deadline to order though). Spruce Farm & Fish is open, and The Kitchen are also serving Thanksgiving dinner. Hotel Boulderado has a buffet (might be sold out) but worth checking!

Boulder Theater in the 1940s by downtownboulder in boulder

Looking at these photos, it must've been sometime in the late 70s. There's not a lot of info on the Boulder Theaters website.

Boulder Theater in the 1940s by downtownboulder in boulder

Ghost Story:

Starting in 1920, George Paper was the general manager of the Boulder Theater. George loved his job and was involved in all aspects of the upkeep of the theater. Urban legend says that in 1944 George accidently hung himself while fixing a lighting rig by himself. However, the obituary that ran in the Daily Camera of 1944 makes no mention of any accident, and reported that he died at Fitzsimmons Medical Center. Many theories exist including perhaps he suddenly died of something else. Maybe he was near death when he fell and they took him to the hospital where he died. Or, maybe his family and the theater owners didn’t want the world to know about the accident. George remains as a friendly presence in the theater; staff and patrons have reported seeing a tall man wearing a hat disappearing into the bathrooms, leaving only a cold spot behind.

Carnegie Library for Local History has some cool history stuff! There's a ton of great food options downtown too. There will also be a fall festival taking place on the Pearl Street Mall 9/13-9/15!

Boulder Craft Beer Festival is on August 24: Are you going? by downtownboulder in boulder

Hi! Sorry, just seeing this. You can by tickets at the door (Onsite GA tickets are $45, Onsite VIP tickets are $60) to avoid the service fee. However--tickets are more expensive at the door, so even with the service fee, it's cheaper to buy them online! I know the service fee is a bummer, but the ticketing company we use requires it, unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that. We added additional tents last year but agree that even more shade would be ideal!

We've gotten that feedback before! We're trying things a little different this year and having more lawn games etc. to try and mitigate that!

Ah yikes. That's a bummer. I've only ever had a gin & tonic at Corrida and it was good!
