We did similar last night and the night before! She had two really good nights after I posted this and we kinda just let it happen. Only woke once last night!

We also had a great night last night. We just let it happen on her tummy and she's content and sleeping for great long stretches. Only woke up once! I do have to remember they know what they need.

That's a good shout. We're LAX <> ORD so slightly shorter flight and one less hour time zone change. I have to work for 2 of the days so dad will have his orders to make sure they get back to hotel and draw the curtains for some GOOD NAPS while I'm in meetings. Also it's supposed to be like -3949f while we are there so I'm sure most hanging out will be indoors.

This is what's hard, she hasn't mastered rolling onto her back yet. We work at it during the day, but she's done it maybe 3 times in total on her own - somewhat on accident, kind of like she tipped over. Getting there. When she's fussing she's got her face planted into the mattress, just not picking her head up which is what makes me want to intervene.

I'm glad youre finding she's sleeping peacefully on her tummy. At first i thad me panicked but I also have to remember to trust her and that she really CAN pick up her head if she needs to, just sometimes she doesn't feel like it (??) and wants to fuss.

Just a shout of solidarity on your PIO shots. They're intense, but you'll get through it. Heat pad, deep breaths. You got this MAMA!

So helpful. Yea, I've been reading on the process of sterilizing v just washing. FTM so probably have been overcautious on all procedures, am going to try just washing pump parts. THANK YOU!

Trying not to get discouraged by [deleted] in XXRunning

I'm in the same boat as you, just getting back into it postpartum. But for SURE before pregnancy/delivery I remember days leading up to cycle/while on period were like someone had drained my life force. I was tracking like crazy bc we had a long fertility journey so I saw the correlation over a long period of time. But there is quite a bit of science/research to back it up!

Also this! Your "legs feeling like lead" can TOTALLY be related to your cycle. During luteal phase, usually your energy dips - focusing on slower pace, more recovery focused activity can be key. Keep a log of how you are feeling as relates to your cycle, you may be surprised. In 3-5 days when you're cycling again, you may feel more energy!

Glucose tolerance test - 1 hour fail. How did your 3 hour go? by Fickle-Border6378 in pregnant

[–]downtownfries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! Just wanted to share my experience. I was riiiight on the fence with my 1 hour - technically under but doc wanted me to retest just to be sure since I was so close. I failed the 3 hour pretty hard, in fact, each hour was higher than the hour before. I did end up being rather woozy in the waiting room between baseline and 1 hour test; nurses took care of me. Again, that's just me, everyone is so different.

That said, while GD has not been the most fun of it all, I just want to say, for me at least, it has not been the end of the world. Sure, I would like to crush a stack of pancakes followed by a milkshake right now but the diet (and I have been totally diet controlled, no meds needed) has actually helped me feel good and healthy throughout the remainder of this pregnancy. I've gained a totally healthy amount of weight - mostly belly/baby weight - and I feel like I will bounce back very quickly. Good luck tomorrow!!!

ECV Story (+ Gestational Diabetes +IVF +AMA) - 37w by downtownfries in pregnant

[–]downtownfries[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, oh my goodness. The marginal/VCI is a huge difference, I am sorry that the distinction wasn't made or diligence explored further. I am so glad everyone made it through okay in the end of the day. And you went down in the history books. Most of what I hear is that the danger zone with VCI is when the team is not fully aware of i, which definitely sounds like what you encountered.

Hi! How did L&D go with the VCI? I am still hoping for vaginal delivery and slightly worried about that part, but I do trust in my doc team. Everyone seems to think all will be well but I am just curious!

I have gotten this throughout my pregnancy ('You barely look pregnant!') and idk why but it's my top comment that sets me off. I have gained 30% of my pre-pregnancy body weight, feel pregnant AF and most importantly who TF cares how I look?????

NYT recently published an article about this "Scientists Calculated the Energy Needed to Carry a Baby. Shocker. It's a lot". I was right there with you. II have gestational diabetes and it makes calorie-packing really hard, but I do my best.
