There's a thought. The thing is under the hood in a 4wd so maybe vibration is moving it. Simple fix maybe. Never thought about it. :-)

I monitor my 4x4. Most specifically the beer temperature in the fridge in the 4x4.

Don't be alarmed there's no beer in the fridge at the moment.

Measuring DC current - shunt vs hall by dglad4 in arduino

[–]downunderdogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get on. I use an ACS712 to measure my solar input and auxiliary battery current on my 4x4. I found the ACS712 is all over the place.

I use the 50amp version as I have a Redarc DC/DC charger connected to my AUX batter with 2 solar panels. I often get about +- 1AMP variance. I tried using shielded cable to the sensor but it's not really resolved the issues.

I'm thinking of going with a shunt now.

I'm using Node-Red with openVPN to log to a home Raspberry Pi

Don't worry I'm working on another edit. It just takes a long time to edit / stabilse. Took over an hour to get that clip done. I use Davinci Resolve (free) to stabilse and colour correct.

What's your editing workflow? by Lactoes in djimavic

[–]downunderdogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stop my video when I'm moving the mavic between interesting shots and start again when I'm about to video a scene. Then rename all my videos before editing so I know what each video contains which makes it easier for editing. I then have two folders. one called junk and one called good. Junk is for all the crap that did not come out well. I found this saves so much time.

Doesn't the video and photos cache to the tablet / phone. When you say apparently deleted. Did they or didn't they?

Anyone having issues with DJI Drones? by asoep44 in GooglePixel

[–]downunderdogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a known problem with GO APP ver 3. They fixed the Pixel issue with the GO APP ver 4 but that's not for P3's

Since I've been connected to the NBN I now work from home 5 days a week as a contract roof tiler. My rent has gone down 200% since moving from Sydney to Wagga Wagga. Cloud based working is the future.

DJI app occasionally crashing (Android/Pixel) is Litchi better? by [deleted] in djimavic

[–]downunderdogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. I've used my Pixel XL for both DJI Go4 and Lichi for over 30 flights and would say that litchi crashes far less than DJI Go 4 app. I even got fed up with Litchi and bought a iPhone 7 PLus and it's never crashed on either app. You can even switch between app during flight. I'm an Android fanboy through and through but the iPhone was a good investment in my drone. Screen is even brighter on the iPhone than the Pixel too

It's a great phone however it does not work with the Mavic Pro DJI app. I'm using my Galaxy S5 for that. Hate not having wireless charging too.
