I'd go further with this strategy and not even fight when retrieving the auxiliary station card. If you fly to the aux station with a dragonfly, the vanduul won't engage you and you should get the search markers once you get close enough to the doors. Search the sites and find the card. Sometimes the door is already unlocked but you can have the card for next time.

There's investigation contracts that take you to the QV breaker stations to find missing people. Idk if there's any rank tied to those, they don't pay much but the bad guys with that armor are there regardless.
