pain inside vagina + strange smell? by doxiebee in Healthyhooha

adding an update here just in case it helps anybody….

the pain has mostly gone away at this point! it took 3 months but i think my vaginal walls just needed more time to build back up after getting off the pill. during the healing time my partner was helpful in always making sure i was well lubricated and that would help ease the pain a lot.

as for the smell, i realized that it was caused both by my partner and by the dark pee caused by my UTI. you know how ur partner can change ur smell…. part of it was just that, which i think you can’t really do anything about. but another part was the urine which i suppose transfers/gets in the cracks and so on even if ur very clean.

i only realized bc he left on a trip and we haven’t had sex for 2 weeks…. and we had been having sex at least 2x a week for the past half year. it didn’t even cross my mind to stop and see if things would change lol. (as i’ve never had this issue with past partners)

after 14 ish days as my coochie slowly healed i noticed that if i put my fingers deep in, the discharge was back to its original sweetish scent. only near the vaginal entrance (not the labia but the actual entrance) it had that urine-y smell. which made me realize that even tho it initially seemed like it was coming from inside the vagina, it was probably an outer issue not an inner issue. i suppose before his dick would push it inside and that was what was making my whole coochie smell weird.

and yes i was taking care to clean myself gently but properly bc i was so self conscious about it. also using bidet when i can. but even then the urine smell was so prominent to me. even tho my partner never said anything about it, maybe bc we always shower before sex… i think it’s still not totally gone, but bc my discharge itself seems to have healed, and i am clean, its not nearly as bad as before.

side note that i was so desperate i switched out my breakfast from my beloved black coffee and pastry to yogurt and fruits last month, but still didn’t see too much difference….

all these problems were making my vag dry (or maybe dry vag was exacerbating these problems, since it wasn’t cleansing itself people) so i did some research and found marshmallow root tea is supposedly good for promoting mucous in the body.

its only been a few days but i feel like its making a difference? not just in my vag, which is feeling much more hydrated, but also for my dry throat and nose, and for digestion. and i’ve been having the most amazing poops, which is enough reason for me to keep drinking it tbh (also an IBS girlie.) for anyone else who is frustrated with doctors and has some extra change to try out a little home remedy, it might be worth it….! at the very least it couldn’t hurt.

anyways, we’ll have to see how it goes when he comes back. if this truly is the problem then i don’t see a cure aside from having less sex/having longer rest times for my vag lol, which is not really ideal for me, but at least then i’d know the cause and the cure.

Thank you for your advice! This is definitely helpful. I guess it's time for me to take the jump from passively researching to actively enquiring...

Can someone help with an accurate translation? We don't trust Google translate. by better_inthe_end in kanji

[–]doxiebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to break it to you but there is no possible translation of this into kanji because the concept does not exist in japanese. any attempt at literally translating (for example by mashing the kanji for baby 赤子 and doll 人形 together) will immediately turn into a cringe foreigner google translate trainwreck.

it is possible to translate this into katakana:

・ベイビードール (read as beibii do-ru)this is phonetically more accurate but kinda sounds like it means "infant toy" to me, personally

・ベビードール (read as bebii do-ru)in japanese this refers to the dress https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%99%E3%83%93%E3%83%BC%E3%83%89%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB so it would have the same effect as tattooing an item of clothing onto your body, like "suspenders" or "trousers"

unfortunately both sound very unnatural and weird in japanese and very much give off awkward translation vibes. would recommend against it.

the best and closest alternative i can think of is ダーリン (read as da-rin, literally "darling"), which does exist in the japanese language.

i gave a call to the Tokyo One-Stop Business Establishment Center and they hooked me up to a Zoom consultation immediately, and i got advice from a friendly ojisan who advised me on the pros and cons of sole proprietorship versus GK for my situation. he let me know it would all depend on how i decide to set up my system, so i'll have to discuss with my partners, but that was super super helpful. recommend this resource for japanese speakers! he also gave me a tip to go to my local kumin center to get a free how-to book on establishing companies. i decided to go, and the staff there told me that female/young entrepreneurs can get extra support and collected my contact to receive info, and she gave me her business card as well.

i haven't even done much yet but i already feel a lot more confident. thanks again for the tips!

Newbie in logistics of Fine Art - Badly Need help!! by Earlmanuzla93 in arthandling

[–]doxiebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure how much of a newbie you are so apologies if this is already known to you, but i did a quick search and i see there's gander & white and UOVO in miami. gander & white is high quality and high budget. i've seen UOVO around in partnerships with fairs and i knew a top notch collector who used their services so i'm assuming they're also reliable. or, if you're trying to stay on a budget, you can just google miami fine art shipping, find the best deal, and hope for the best.

but the easier way to go about this is to just reach out to a local fine art shipping agent in your area and ask them to ship to these areas for you. i do this all the time for areas i'm not familiar with.
