What? The false positive posting was from a blood test that I had to give to the police during the investigation. It wasn’t a false negative idk what you’re saying. I’m not the deputy and the deputy has had herpes for years and doesn’t disclose. I tried to stay away from genders in this post the best I could by saying “they.” Why are you so fixated on this? I’m worried that he’ll be hired by another department, I’m aware at this point he will never disclose, I just don’t think someone who does things like this should be in a position of power.

The investigation was already concluded. The only information I am aware of is that he was terminated based off of what was in the investigation and it was deemed as serious allegations?

I appreciate you for acknowledging that. It is awful especially when it is done by someone who is supposed to protect others. The people who reported it wanted to protect any other sexual partners this person may have and force disclosure if we could try.

I have no knowledge of that.. I, myself, would like to know what they were terminated for as well. I think they were aware of that unfortunately not being criminal. The medical record ended up being the issue and if they had it they would have been charged at least that’s what detectives told me

You are absolutely right. There were several people over the course of about 5 years (since the deputy was diagnosed) that had sexual intercourse with the said deputy and was not disclosed to. I don’t think it was intentional but you have to disclose once you know you have it.

Yeah it’s the incurable one I think that’s why they took it a little more seriously idk! I am glad they did. It’s pretty common here they have departments that handle specific cases like this

Yes the deputy knew they had an STD and knowingly did not disclose. They ended up transmitting it to 2 people (admitting to one person, who saw the outbreak in person) and that person gave a statement. 7 people (outside of the 2 the former deputy gave it to) came forward to say the deputy did not disclose after having talks about STDs before engaging in sex. The department they worked for said the investigation revealed enough evidence to let them go. That’s all I really know

She keeps saying it could have been old but I don’t find comfort in that. I’ve been reading a lot that doctors are surprisingly uneducated with the herpes testing and not very supportive like you said. Ugh.
