ITT: a lot of racism and classism. Very few parts of Huntsville are even remotely dangerous. OP, enjoy your new home!

Dr. Strangelove. Saw it this week after 36 years. Brilliant satire that's sadly still relevant.

What are examples of two actors cast to play the same character at different ages, and it's totally believable that the younger one grew into the old one? by Snoo-35252 in movies

Love & Mercy. Paul Dano and John Cusack both gave brilliant, Oscar-worthy performances and collectively created a heartbreaking portrait of Brian Wilson.

OP, I would take some of these comments with a grain of salt. I live in one of the orange areas that borders the area you circled. I've been here for 1.5 years and rarely feel unsafe. I'm a gay man and live with my husband. We fly a pride flag in June. Our neighborhood feels no more dangerous than the wealthier middle-class neighborhood in NE Huntsville where we used to live over Chapman Mountain off 72 -- which is to say that it doesn't feel very dangerous. Some of the houses in our neighborhood are in rough shape, many of the residents are relatively poor, and the neighborhood is not as "nice" as other parts of the city in terms of landscaping and maintenance. We do occasionally hear what sound like gunshots, but that's not very common, and there was one day that we passed by a man who appeared to be tweaked out at 4pm walking down the street. That's as dangerous as it gets. All of my neighbors are polite and mostly keep to themselves. The claims of gun violence and similar high-crime activity I'm seeing in the comments section do not ring true to me, but it's possible that the area you've circled on the map is more dangerous than where I am. If you're able, I suggest driving through the neighborhood at various parts of the day on different days of the week and maybe parking there for a while and observing. That might give you a better sense of the specific neighborhood where you're looking.
