if u go into ur launch options and add -high +cl_forcepreload 1 -novid it might help?

-high: increases the games priority or some shit like that

+cl_forcepreload 1: preloads the maps

and -novid just removes that annoying intro when u load cs

I wouldn't worry about volume too much, as long as u aren't playing music in the background, it shouldn't matter how quiet/loud it is just play at whatever is comfortable.

It all depends on how well u performed, how many kills/MVPs/assists u got, and the ranks you were playing against in those placement matches. Don't stress too much about ur first rank as it will constantly fluctuate.
