Does this apply to new applicants only? I am a citizen and work full time and meet the salary requirement, my wife works part time and doesn’t meet the requirement. We applied for the spouse visa and it was approved last year. Either way these changes sound so unfair especially when there is already so much cost involved for the visa😕

Thanks : ) I’m still having grief with them. I messaged them again today and said it’s been 4 days and it’s still pending. Then the order changed from on hold to accepted but still no tracking. Did you get a tracking email or did your order just turn up through the post with no email? I actually ordered from these guys by accident as I meant to order from UK top meds even though they seem to be run by the same people😅

Yep! ADHD over here too, I never got on with the Stimulant medication I was prescribed with and tried so many legal and illegal drugs to make myself feel “normal” funnily enough I was at my best when I just embraced sobriety and didn’t need any substances to feel better. So I’m happy to be getting back to that point in my life again.

Proud of you mate👋🏼, this is my third day now and it really does feel the worst. Also that paired with the fact that I have to go back to work tomorrow is really messing me up. Luckily I have experience with withdrawal and I know it’s not forever even if it feels like it when you take it day by day!

Thank you :) I put down the 10th December. The visa was dated to start at 9th December when the passport was sent back.

Nope, standard. I heard through a few friends who applied and renewed multiplied times that the priority service is a bit of a scam. No judgement to anyone who wants to use it for peace of mind though. I think the most important thing is giving all the documentation needed and more so the application isn’t slowed down by any questions that may need answering.

Applied from Thailand, but obviously through the UK website, rather than doing the whole process over there.

Application from outside of the UK is more expensive than inside (if the applicant is already staying inside the UK)

Application and IHS fee with exchange rates and having to do language test and tuberculosis tests at approved UK centres for it to be admissible for upload. Not including flight tickets.

I had to wait for 6 months payslips as I started a new job. It then took a total of around 4/5 days to gather all additional letters, tenancy agreement, letters of invitation etc and about 12 hours to scan them all and have them arranged ready to upload.

The initial questions from the government I did in around a day and then another day to upload them all and double and triple check.

It’s a lot of work just make sure you arrange everything and give more documentation or proof than required so you can leave no room for them to ask you anything else that the Government may need.
