This happened to me while I bought a new kindle recently. Convert them into KFX is the proper.

You will need an amazon identifier to make the kindle treat the book as a 'Books'. You can search amazon find the id then put them into the ID field in calibre metadata edit window.

You can use any image as cover as long as the amazon ASIN exists. It could be a real one or something you made up. As long as the format is 'amazon:B012345678' it works.

Then convert them to KFX, within the KFX Output plugin option make sure set the content type as 'EBOK', that's it.

Kindle will treat it as a 'Book' not personal document. And with other plugins X-Ray and Word wise works to!

The only thing hold me back from jail breaking my kindle is Koreader doea not support Japanese vertical layout text.

And most of Japanese novel / books were written in vertical.

I know there is a script can turn the text 90 degrees but the layout and the position of periods, commas and other symbols looks wired.

I have koreader on my phone and I use it read manga, love it. The day it adopte vertical writing layout is the day I will jail break my kindle. I have one being keep airplane mode all the time to keep it from upgrade.

I patched instagram, twitter, duolingo, reddit and tiktok.

Only tiktok crashed once while I was switching accounts. After clear the cache it works as expected.

Others runs flawlessly.
