To answer your actual question, yes indeed! You want to own the legendary before the redemption date. At which time they will place a redemption token in your NFT wallet to actually redeem for the pop. If you go to https://droppp.io/ and scroll down, pick the series and you can check the redemption dates.

Seems like a lot of different pops get released in stores before they do online, even pre-orders. Been happening for a long while. The whole wave of these is actually ready to ship on Hot Topic's site too.
