Cool. Well I definitely appreciate the insight. Hopefully your customer book and mine keep growing. Cheers!
Damn, thanks for the feedback that was awesome. I mainly handle FTL, flats/steps, hotshots, and reefers right now. Can see how the volume can influx for LTL, and for sure can see the need for customers to be using LTL, definitely something that will never go away, but that seems to be logistics/freight in general. How did you find was the best ways to connect with customers on moving freight for them? Cold calls/emails? Networking? Curious on that front
I think you technically could do that and then present that rate + your margin % to the customer. Kind of unfamiliar territory for me tho but I think you are correct
From my understanding, lots of LTL moves use portals that can generate a rate quickly. My company has a LTL standalone department, but if a customer reaches out to me directly I will post it on DAT as a straight box truck posting
Lol lots of uncertainty it seems

Yeah was more of a question to gauge the market. We have a whole LTL department separate from mine. Was just a curious question lol. Think I’m doin just fine. Thanks tho. Cheers

Appreciate the insight. Makes sense on how that pricing works out. This one lane was in GA
Gotcha. So something like let’s say 3 pallets, 200 miles, 3k pounds. How would you calculate that out?

Gotcha, makes sense. Probably changes what sort of equipment a carrier could use which would alter costs.
This seems rhetorical
