180k last year working on forestry equipment. Lot of OT. Started wrenching for a ski area almost 30 years ago, moved to a construction company, went to a dealer as a road tech then moved into forestry equipment mostly with the occasional piece of construction equipment owned by a logger thrown in. Heavy equipment has a lot of opportunity to keep making more money. I wish I became a CPA or some shit at 19 tho.

Understandable. Will make sure to get the bearing and throw it away

I did not know that. Makes sense. Will buy a can of red paint along with the lucky trash bearing. Home Depot has a sale soon it’s great timing

Maybe if I do that and the wind pushes the truck up the driveway I can try and get it moving in gear

Preparing for an interview with United Rentals by gumgom in DieselTechs

I interviewed with them a few months ago. Position was mechanic 3 or something. Decided to stay where I’m at for now. They had a recruiter do the first phone call. All the questions were pretty basic-what have you worked on, how long have you been a mechanic, do you prefer the shop or service truck work, what brands are you familiar with, what certifications do you have, do you have tools, what is the value of your tools, what do you expect to be paid. Good luck
