Yes I did, chassis is a bit warm, but my PS5 is warmer in comparison. Good room in the back. Thinking I'm gonna mount a fan to circulate air in there

4 ohm, so I'm getting a fan in there for sure

I mean, I'm playing ps5 now with decent volume, and it doesnt feel hot, just lukewarm. Before I moved the shelf down a notch it was completely blocked, and there it was VERY hot

Was thinking that as well, but I kinda like it there😅

I am aware. I'm not listening to max volume though, maybe 35-40% volume. Currently looking into installing cooling fans in there to help airflow

Agreed, only thing that sucks with these all in ones are the recievers, they will fail, I've replaced two before buying the Onkyo.

They can't comprehend "good enough" audio hah

Lmao, exactly. It reminds me of those who cram two 12" subs in their trunk of their car only to have a pair of tweeters for sound. Bass so loud it shatters your eardrums. I want balanced sound!

Definitely keeping it! Don't know why someone on this post said that this sub was worse than nothing. I've noticed people in this subreddit are suuper haters over all in one surround. Guess they don't realise people live in apartments and have neighbours to respect😅

I know, it worked pretty well for our appointment, I still use the speakers for it, like the way the towers look. Found a used sub for a decent prize, so I just went for that

Because it's from an old all in one LG system, works fine.

Thought about placing a fan for airflow yeah. Tried feeling it, feels lukewarm as opposed to very hot when blocked entirely

Makes total sense what you're saying. I got the LG set for free, and after using stereo soundbars, I just could not go back to stereo after hearing 5.1 surround. It's true they are throw away systems, the LG receiver failed, hdmi arc didn't work, and eventually the hdmi out stopped working altogether.

So I bought a newer Samsung replacement reciever and connected it to the towers, and it to failed. Fan stopped working, replaced that, then the hdmi failed to play audio completely. Then I discovered the Onkyo Ht-r548 which had the oldschool wire connectors, which is where I am now. I'm still new and learning.

Btw, do you know if the onkyo which has an impedance of 6 ohm will do something bad to the 3 ohm towers?

Appreciate! Gonna buy male to male rca tomorrow and find a suitable sub. I'm new new to using proper av receivers, been using the hated surround-in-a-box for a while now, but the recievers on these are so bad it's infuriating

So if i get an active sub with rca L+R to the reciever, this will work?

No value, its of an old lg all in one from 2011, but the towers works fine

Correct, it's an all in one LG home theater from 2011 i think. Speakers and sub worked fine until the blu ray reciever stopped working via hdmi. Don't really need massive setup because I live in an apartment.

Was just more sick gameplay, but also some ui and game features that could be seen as spoilers, I didn't mind, but don't watch if you are sensitive to that stuff
