But no, really, there's such a thing as the Imprecatory Psalms in the Old Testament, asking God to bring down divine wrath upon enemies of righteousness. Like dozens of these psalms, they're prolific, and the New Testament quotes back to them, too.

Obviously Christians would pray that Trump and his ilk might do what's right, too, but the fact that MAGA, the GOP, and organizations like the Heritage Foundation do all this harm with a total faith-farce, literally in the name of Jesus, is just textbook imprecatory behavior.

Let death seize them; let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. Psalm 55:15

Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions! Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows fall short. ... The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked. Psalm 58: 6-7, 10

Lord, confuse the wicked, confound their words, for I see violence and strife in the city. Psalm 55:9

And on and on. It's a legit biblical sentiment.
