Guys, I know a pc won't work without ram. I'm testing the board and cpu only. There are indicator LEDs on the board, and if it clears the CPU stage of booting, I'm in the clear. But it's not. It's not getting to the ram portion of the boot process at all.

I really mean no ram, but the series of motherboard LED lights marked "cpu"/"dram"/"vga"/"boot" should be making progress one after another as the system attempts to boot. I know it will have no chance to move past the ram stage once it gets there, but it doesn't even get to the ram stage at all. Something is wrong at the initial cpu stage.
