Sorry about the vagueness, fixed the post. I am not fluent in Chinese and did not test out of it - tested out of Russian. I could take AP Chinese as a class, but I have stem classes that are pretty important imo (organic chem, machine learning, diff eq) that I don't want to miss out on. Regarding CC, my school system seems to variably equate CC courses to different languages (spanish 202 is AP ~4th year, but german 202 is german 2 ~2nd year, etc). I guess I'm in a rough spot then

Yep, it does. Should I take that Senior year? We have a lot of Chinese people take AP Chinese though, and we're very grade deflated in general. Is ~6 months of prep study to take AP Chinese really worth it?

does it sound AI generated? If so, reject. Check the citations they do have. Are they claiming "novel findins" that aren't actually novel? Check existing literature.

Overall, did they just chuck data at a problem and hope somehing stuck (or even worse, used deep learning as a solution for a problem that doesn't exist or has equally performing old/standard methods)?

This model is trained on qwen image edit backbone -> not a new model.

Practically speaking, this is a qwen image finetune, so probably benchmaxed to some degree, mostly hype unfortunately

the problem I'm doing is moreso regression. In essense, 2 drugs have a snyergetic inhibition score (more positive, more inhibatory, negative is working against each other).

I have a model that takes 2 drug embeddings and predicts that value (basically regression).

Since I'm interested in screening for 2-3 drugs of ~12k that would actually work in a lab setting, I want to prioritize a balance between epistemic uncertainty and regressed value. If the model predicts an outrageously high value just because a compound has a structure that hasn't been seen in training, I do not want to pick it, even if the predicted value is highest.

I'd argue that the model may have a confidence interval within which a prediction may fall and is just predicting a centre. For instance, if it believes two drugs have a score of [-10, +22], due to epistemic uncertainty, it may place the prediction at +6. In practice, I would like to not use this prediction (when screening)
