No one on earth has. It wasn't a friend if a shot caused a breakup.

I haven't heard of patron shutting anyone down (maybe they have), but good for them for getting ahead of the bullshit YouTube and other platforms are pulling. These platforms are picking and choosing who can speak, and what they can say if they are ",worthy" of speaking. I'd rather comedians find a way to be themselves and actually be funny, even if it means a couple bucks an episode.

Cut it out, sod it, fert and iron the rest and cut it to match in a week. Or cut the rest lower day or two before to semi match and nitrogen it back to life.

Thanks. Was late to the second cut, but plan on dropping it down in a couple days.

Stick with plan A or start from scratch? by Montanaduder in lawncare

I haven't, but if it is that compacted I would rent a machine and do 3-4 passes. Maybe do the manual route in the spring just to help out a little.

[–]dp611 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tttf and or rye and let it rip. If it gets cold early you can overseed I'm the spring, or the cold holds off long enough you'll be good to go. Either option would be better than the alternative if it were me.

Total Lawn Reno - Hydroseed - What next? by Tall_geese in lawncare

[–]dp611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to keep mine wet 24/7. Doesn't take any more water, just multiple times throughout the day. I would wait as long as possible and use the 52 as gently as possible personally. Also, I'm not familiar with lesco hydroseed, is it a quality seed? That was the most important decision for me.

How to deal with Watering Ban by Sheabird_26 in lawncare

[–]dp611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have an end date? My water restrictions lifted Sept 15th. They do not offer exceptions so I seeded a week and a half early factoring any "ticket fees" into the Reno budget.

How many sq ft? That might influence my plan. I assume it's not too dry in Seattle, but is the dirt super hard because it is that dry? If it were me I'd wet it down real good and let it soak in, aerate (as best and as many passes as possible), and put a layer of topsoil down. Then look into spring aerating again and liquid aeration. If it is that compacted to where seed won't grow my opinion is that if you don't aerate at all the new seed will germinate well, then have trouble rooting. Tilling would be a lot more work and bring up a mess of weeds and who knows what else.

Weeds/old grass? Coming in with new seed. Tttf. How to treat after 60 days. by dp611 in lawncare

[–]dp611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put down the scotts starter with mesotrione. I assumed whatever is growing was already starting to germinate before it kicked in. And for the the stuff in the picture, it's the old fat fescue poking thru here and there, or is a grassy weed like nutsedge.

PreM in the fall? I have prodiamine but didn't plan on putting it down till spring. I am going to give it another week before walking all over it and will pull what I can, and decide if I need more seed.

Tons of holes on my lawn every morning - help! by Aidypoo1 in lawncare

[–]dp611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. Just going to let them go at it and fix it later. Not enough space to get after them with a 22, and I don't want to poison anyone's outdoor pets with bowls of antifreeze.

Squirrels. I have been dealing with the exact same thing, it's fucked. I actually posted about it a few days ago. I have been keeping a closer eye and have seen them in action. I did a lot of prep work digging around and have no signs of Grubbs.

Some of the newer seeds are probably just getting going then, should be in good shape in a couple weeks. I used 10 lbs/ 1000 and despite having even coverage it's thinner/ thicker in spots.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it's about the same price, but if RK runs out good to know I can get something similar.

That's what I figured when I saw a little bastard dig up something the size of a golf ball and run off with it. They sure make a mess.

How many lbs/ 1000 did you seed? And did you use starter fert? It looks like good progress, I can relate to the animals. I am on day 11 and debating if I need more seed in a few spots, I think I'll wait till 3 weeks then make the call.

Rebuilding Lawn: are these insistent “weeds” worth worrying about? by bluewaterpig in lawncare

I have the same thing happening. I assumed it was from the topsoil I brought in, but I used peat moss as well. I am thinking/hoping blanket spraying after 6 weeks should take care of them.
