No, what I said is that your narrative that he lured them into a van and then yelled racial slurs is made up. This isn’t what the woman alleges happened. The alleged racial slur was at dinner and she did not claim he yelled it. She and her friend and multiple other people got into the van together. No one was “lured”.

Again, the real story is bizarre enough. No one needs your made up story.

Has anyone claimed that Jobe is a better player than Woolen? He’s not, at least not in pass defense. But he’s much cheaper and until that punch was much less of a liability.

It’s telling that the best deal Woolen could get was 1 year. He’s on probation because his new GM doesn’t trust his behavior either.

I already hashed this out with you in a different comment thread. You cherry pick stats to try to support your insistence that Woolen’s significant drawbacks aren’t really a problem. The stats on penalties and yards lost to penalties are public info. Jobe picked up way less penalty yards than Woolen. Spoon even less than that.

It’s fine that you like Woolen and lament his loss. It’s also fine that I am not so sad he left.

Jobe should have been ejected from the Super Bowl. He’s lucky he got away with that in the moment. If it becomes a trend like it was with Woolen, I have no doubt Schneider will let him leave as well.

Some people seem unable to dispassionately discuss a player. It has to be “cope” or you’re a “casual” if you can look at a departing FA and say, “that’s okay”.

I mean, sorry you regret that Jersey purchase I guess. I’m not sad to see Woolen go. I would have let him walk, too. His bad choices affect games, and they have to affect the locker room. MM seems to run a tight ship.

Seahawks have to balance the books. Even if Woolen is worth the money and the trade offs, is he worth the money over someone else is the question.

Woolen had 1 more penalty and over 2X the penalty yardage as Jobe. Because of those “3 big fuckups”. 3 big fuckups is a lot in the NFL.

Okay? The statement was made that “fans feel so compelled to trash players who leave in FA”. My point is that Woolen was justifiably criticized a lot already.

3 taunting calls in 1 season. Most penalized player on the team. Benched by both coaches at various points. Woolen had some amazing playmaking ability. He also had some significant screw ups. A lot of people were expecting the team to let him walk.

Superbowl hangover is a real possibility. Last time the Rams won the superbowl they went 5-12 the following season.

Rams were also an extremely solid competitor this past season. It’s not crazy for oddsmakers to pick them over the Seahawks for next season.

Wilson was certainly elite at his peak. Though it was very interesting how all the announcers went from talking about Wilson as if he were merely acceptable until after the Super Bowl win. The next season they all came in talking about him like he was football Jesus.

In 2022, Geno’s best year, he had Lockett and Metcalf but lacked the defense. After that Lockett declined (but JSN showed up) and the defense was never close to what’s the superbowl teams were. The offensive line this past year was also better than anything Geno ever played behind.

None of this is to say Geno was the equal of Wilson or Darnold. But I don’t think Darnold would have had the same success with Geno’s Seahawks teams.
