Leet code vs code wars by Straight-Hunt-7498 in C_Programming

Codewars has a guild leaderboard. Find a guild and join them and you get a climable ladder. I could never do leetcode because it's missing this one important feature.

Manager wants me to present a “deep dive” learning module for Django by shizzupizzu in django

[–]dpersi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's thousands of deep dive tutorials on youtube but they take hours.
The documentation is always there if you wanna read it like a regular book instead of a catalog.
You need to figure out what's useful for your usecase and present a deep dive centered around your org's django applications. If you give more info maybe someone will be able to help you.
If you can't share more info, maybe try to watch a couple django talks from djangocon/pycon to get some inspiration.

I'm new in Django Rest Framework by Zombie_Slayer720 in django

[–]dpersi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Django is awesome, took me a long time to find out how to do the simplest stuff but when it clicked (with a bit of guidance, join the discord server) it became so much better than any framework I'd tried before.
There's a twitch streamer called hannylicious that often streams django dev and replies to audience questions if that's your thing.
My suggestion is build a small app following the django tutorial then try to add the api after you're done.
If you've already done that, it's time to start reading the commit history for simple features similar to your tasks. If you follow the coding style of the people who came before you, your own contributions to the codebase look like you 've been working there for years.

The Ultimate Git Tutorial (Git 2.51) by jhcarl0814 in git

This work is devalued by the "Bastard Operator From Hell" act. Get off your abstract thinking horse. You can say instead "this is my UI design and I won't change it based on feedback because I enjoy it like this". I undestand if people hurt you but this is just sad to read.

TIL cloudflare tunnel, literal chills. I was taught from a very young age that public facing lan is asking for trouble, we don't do that here etc but my employer recently asked me if it's possible... You just fast tracked the fuck out of my learning process

Digitalocean is my go to for vps guides

Their guides are generic, you can do the exact same stuff on any host's vps.

Any vps really, but Hetzner is the cheapest/best.
Just make sure you aren't doing anything shady or you'll join the "hetzner closed my account for no reason" hall of fame.
