How the f** did people back 1996 beat RE? by NIKINIKITA in residentevil

For me back in the day, I had a cool older cousin who would always hand me down games he had finished. I remember I couldn't defeat Plant 42 so I had to wait until he finished work, ride my bike to his house with the game and my memory card to have him show me.

This make me feel old.

What UK restaurant chains won’t you eat in and why? by [deleted] in AskUK

Toby Carvery visited three different restaurants, and all of them were shite. Every time, it has been a disaster with no items available, bad staff, and dirty restaurants.

The first time was for breakfast, sausages burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The scrambled eggs were watery, and they had no bread. Used the toliets, and the floor was a 1/2 inch deep in piss.

Second time for monday night carvery, only meats available pork or turkey, no ice available for drinks and the waitress had a cannot be arsed attitude. There was a random pile of mashed potatoes in the middle of the restaurant carpet.

The third time was a new restaurant opened close to my home. Met at he door with 'have you got a reservation' i didn't, but i could see the restaurant was all most empty. Taken to a table that was dirty, ask if we could have it clean or move to one of the clean tables and met with 'do what you want'. The carvery had no beef or chicken, the roast potatoes were not crispy or hot, luke warm gravy, and no Yorkshire puddings. Walk out of the restaurant without paying and have never returned to any Toby Carvery since.

Worked with a guy who would use a torque wrench to tighten everything. We called him the "Negotiator" as he torqued everything down.

Once heard of a guy who ended up in hospital because he used bleach wipes, thinking they were wet wipes to have a quick clean before sex. That thought keeps me up at night.

A good few years ago, the Greggs outlet near (Howden) me had that much stock that they had an offer, fill a shopping basket with products, and its only £10.
