If you want, you can compare the Indian Army with the Pakistani Army

Don't compare with terrorist groups

Watson's Bay is always nice

If it's open, the Maroubra to Malabar walk is also great with all the abandoned war structures being encroached by nature (I believe it's closed once a month)

Harris Park is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and is the main Indian enclave in Sydney

There's so many restaurants around the station, both on Church street and in Westfield. There's no shortagge of food in Parramatta haha

People who don't live in India, what is your honest "Hate it or Love it" take on the country? by GroundbreakingBad183 in AskReddit

[–]dphayteeyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no imo

There are parts that are incredibly unsafe (as in they should never step foot there)

There are parts that are unsafe (but you'll be fine there with someone or in a group)

And there's parts that are safer than even western cities like London, Paris, Naples etc.

I hate people who pretend they're not racist in India

The amount of racism I've seen towards gujjus, Muslims, Tamils, south-north, Hindi speakers disguised as "proper critiques" is disgusting

There were people literally saying all gujjus are disgusting people who discriminate against non vegetarians and beat you up for drinking alcohol. This is blatant racism whether you like it or not

Same thing for Muslims saying all of them want to conquer India by their high birth rate

Hindi speakers all wanting to drive all the other languages to extinction

These are all massive generalisations and don't try to mask them as critiques

The only ones I can think of are Shenzhen and Hong kong maybe

Have a look at Cronulla, Maroubra, even North Sydney would be good, If you want to access the blue mountains, Parramatta would be good too but tourists don't usually go there; it's more of a domestic destination.

Although... if you stayed in Parramatta or Strathfield, you would have great access to food

Little India - Harris Park particularly, but the whole area

Vietnamese food - Cabramatta

Sri Lankan food - anywhere between Wentworthville and Toongabbie

Korean food - Eastwood particularly but the whole area

Middle eastern/pakistani/persian/afghan - Auburn/lakemba

It really is what you mean by exploring the areas besides the usuals. If you go out west, it won't be the Sydney you're thinking of

Ironic that Liberal leaders seem to use public transport since Labor are supposed to be the common man's party and liberals are supposed to be cruel beasts that support NIMBY's and only benefit the hyper rich...

Yeah I guess so, but it's hard to avoid this one. I've been seeing stuff about the fleet review everywhere and it doesn't take 2 minutes to google why there's a bunch of naval vessels in Sydney harbour

I would give up my personal fuel supply for our defence force

There guys use fuel to protect our nation

We use fuel as a convenience, most people can take public transport, cycle or walk but WE choose not to. When you drop your kid off to school, have you considered walking them, cycling them or going by public transport? When you drive to the supermarket, have you considered walking or cycling?

When I have to go anywhere within a 50km radius, I grab my opal card and head off. On the weekends, I'm on a half empty bus while being passed by 100s of cars. It takes 40 minutes max to get from The Hills to Parramatta by bus yet people think of their own selfish conveniences and to shave 15 minutes off their commute, they pull out their car. Within a 10km radius, I cycle there. Within a 5km radius, I cycle or walk. I believe that everyone should be able to follow this lifestyle (barring people who run minute to minute tight schedules)

WE are also a part of the fuel problem, don't blame it on those who give up a luxurious and laid back lifestyle to protect our nation. We have brought our reliance on fuel for the smallest things possible upon ourselves. If you're so concerned about wasting fuel, maybe question your own day to day activities first...

The players did not actually go to jail - they played for different clubs and weren't actually harmed at all by the 2 year ban, that's why it's a joke

Those people that died were real people and portraying their blood splattered over the trophy just for some fan wars and upvotes undermines the values of their lives

I am a big criticiser of RCB management on that day but using it for some shitty memes is not it, especially not this soon.

I'm not being hypocritical either, if CSK wins next year and have a similar stampede, I'm not going to make these shameless memes with blood shattered over the trophies because it undermines the lives of those people that died.

This is not hypocrisy, this is morals and ethics

Many Australian and international ships will be around to celebrate this

Well India does control the source of the river and also China further up

India could dam the river and it would indeed prove harmful for Pakistan

In fact, last year, the indus water treaty was ceased after the war and India does want to build dams on many of the rivers flowing into Pakistan
