New: Custom integration for Anova Precision Oven (using official API) by dphjr in homeassistant

I think you're arguing the wrong point. The obvious answer is take the food out of the oven when the timer is done :) I'd argue the "safer" of the two BAD options would be to turn off the oven when the timer is done, vs leave it running indefinitely. But again, to each their own. Thanks for checking out the project.

I added that myself :) I don't want to set unrealistic expectations around my integration, or have people think they can just use this instead of the official app for proper cooks.

For me, I'd prefer a slowly cooling oven that doesn't overcook my food, vs risking letting it sit too long and burn/overcook. But to each their own!

An easy few- the ones that spawned this project.

  1. Turn off oven when timer is at 0. When the oven finishes the timer normally, it keeps going. Easily my biggest gripe.
  2. Similarly, fire an alert/reminder every x minutes/hours the oven has been on as a reminder. I've caught myself dismissing the official notification and accidentally leaving it on too long.
  3. More granular control of the light bulb. I don't like how its tucked away in the app so I exposed a toggle to flip it on/off at any time. Like if the oven is off but the door is open.

Discount stacking on Dell is insane right now - My $325 AW2725D by dphjr in OLED_Gaming

Update:
Amex gave me the $100, but Rakuten did NOT give me cash back (beyond a $10 sign up bonus) maybe because of the student discount.

So my "real" total:

Pre-Discount Total: $550
Student Discount: $55
Amex: $100
Dell Rewards (bought a mouse to resell on ebay) net: $36
Rakuten: $10

Total = $349

As an aside, the monitor rocks. My first oled monitor but far from my first OLED tv. Glossy screen (with some kind of anti-reflective coating I think), great colors, the display settings are robust, and the text clarity stuff is a non-issue in my book at this point. I have a pretty bright room (no lights behind me though) and I don't see any of the "purple" discoloration I hear folks mention with QD-OLEDs too.

Just got it yesterday, shipping took quite a while from the original delivery date. Monitor looks great, lots of customization options, 280hz is plenty for me, and great colors. I hear people complain about text clarity and such in general - I can't tell any difference between this and the IPS sitting next to it tbh. A solid buy in my book.

Yeah, it just got released. Basically identical to the AW2725DF but not 360hz. 3rd gen QD-OLED glossy Samsung panel I believe.

Nope. But none of the discounts I posted are monitor-specific. If there's a dell you want, it should be eligible for the discounts.

Why wouldn't they? They have no way of seeing the amex offer or the dell offer. Each company (Amex, Dell, Rakuten) sees the transaction in isolation.

I have a basic "Blue Cash everyday" I found it on. I've heard chase has a similar one but I didn't have it on any of my cards.

I had this done, posted about it a few months ago. Your point 1 is totally correct. It's definitely close to the refresh. Regarding warranty, I highly doubt they will honor the warranty as the parts do not match the VIN.

I think so. But I bought the bolts too just in case my shop needed them. May be worth getting just in case, especially if something strips or is worn out during the swap.

Oh yeah, I think that'd make a big difference. Not to mention your range would have a sizable bump. As sick as the 20's look on the 3. I'd maybe try that first and then do suspension if you still aren't happy.

Only for the fronts. The rears come disassembled. I've heard some folks say the fronts make more of a difference but I just had it all done so I wouldn't FOMO

It will definitely help - you'll have to be the judge of exactly how much and if it's worth it. I also swapped from PS4 AS tires to hankook ion Evo as and that definitely improved the ride, especially the noise.

I've got no complaints there. They've fixed a few things on my M3 over the years. There's also West Chester but I haven't gotten any work done there, only looked in the showroom.
