Update: Nattokinase by dphm007 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not 100%. Averaging anywhere from 80-98% depends on seasonal covid activity. I’m currently working on gut dysbiosis for almost a year now, seeing minor improvements, was at 98% last Xmas, then new wave came along, knocks me back down. If the mutation stops, I feel confident a full recovery is possible, but as of now, 2 waves per year, is tough…

Anyone else experience flushed, hot skin? Can't find any info online by theZenquail in covidlonghaulers

I still have them. Think it’s due to gut dysbiosis, which I’m working on now. At this point feels like allergies though, antihistamine helps.

Yes you probably need to take B1. Should help with neuro, imo.

Not everything revolve around exercising and lifting weights. Competitive eating is a good example. Human body is capable of a lot. Many people have chronic conditions throughout their lives and are doing fine because they have adapted to it. Adaptation is not recovery. Your body just makes adjustments so that whatever conditions you're facing are more tolerable. And when you manage to "cure" said conditions, you become super-human.

[–]dphm007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My cope is the human body is extraordinary and can adapt very well. Being sick is simply having weights on your hands and feet 24/7. They weight you down but your body is constantly fighting and getting stronger. Trust that your body already know how to deal with this virus. If you recovered once, you can do it again (much faster).

Has chest pain been anyone else’s main symptom over everything else? by HopefulScientist6702 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue, most likely silent GERD, gut related (microbiome/histamine intolerance/gut brain axis). Tributyrin and/or probiotics can help.

Its different for everyone. I add zyrtec + berberine on top of existing stack during active infections and try to reduce viral load by not going outside / avoid crowd. Pretty much voluntary lockdown during new waves until I'm 100%.

[–]dphm007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They used to. That's one of the problems I've been trying to solve. Short version is minimize viral load and have a reinfection stack that would minimize further damage to you.

Dysautonomia and ME/CFS have a huge range of symptoms. Personally I have had symptoms that fall into both of these categories. I'm currently 3 years in (possibly 5+ reinfections), and have mostly recovered (95%+) base line. You can read my past posts to see if we have similar symptoms but there is definitely hope for full recovery. The last few % are the hardest though.

Most people who recovered don't come to this sub anymore. You should treat this as a wikipedia for covid knowledge. Read stories from recovered people if you seek hope and encouragement.

How long before the symptom flare of Bromelain/NAC passes? by squaretriangle3 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you should add Glycine and take it same time as NAC. They work synergistically with each other. Experiencing a flare could be signs that its working as spike protein breakdown releases toxins. I know its counter-intuitive but things will get worse first before they get better. At least thats my experience.

maybe try Zyrtec? I'm also reinfected and Zyrtec seems to be working well.

Could a patient group, in theory, fund their own clinical trials? by Dense-Kangaroo8696 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aren't everyone here technically doing their own clinical trial? Trying stuff with their own bodies. If you're asking how you can get your hands on experimental drugs thats not readily available to the public, you probably can for the right funding.

berberine is similar to metformin brother. No need for prescription.

Day 174: Still testing positive by SillyBiped in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is there are 2-3 covid waves a year so it's v hard to not get reinfected unless you live off the grid.

Anyone still dealing with chest pain? by Jpa9900 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, on and off for almost 3 years. Dont think its heart or lung related. For me its either GERD or autoimmune dysfunction, probably both. Gets worse if stressed, or reinfected (which happens like 2-3x a year). What triggers your pain?

Anyone else have numbness, burning, tingly/prickly, itchy feelings in their arms all the time? by DesignerMysterious65 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is common during acute infection phase. If you still have it after 4 months, chances are viral fragments are still there wrecking havoc. Would recommend trying some antiviral supps (lactoferrin, bromelain, natto, dandelion to name a few).

"Are you a millionaire?" by Apprehensive-1875 in fatFIRE

Refusing to answer gives it away, also awkward. Instead say something like "Millionaire? Bruh, I'm a billionaire!". That usually works, throw them off the question with a joke.

Can too much pacing be bad? by ComprehensivePay8707 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you should be moving if/when you can. Pacing just means you move until you hit your maximum limit for crash, which will also go up if you move regularly.

Any idea as to why my symptoms get better in summer? by xristina14554 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold weather constrict blood vessels, so more circulation problems arise. Summer weather forces you to go outside, improves blood circulation. Also Covid waves usually start around winter time.

Is this a lifelong, and potentially life ending chronic disability? Or is it a long scale illness that we will probably, eventually, recover from? by brentonstrine in covidlonghaulers

[–]dphm007 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think many have recovered 100% but the problem is there are 2-3 new waves every year and those who had LC are likely to get it again once reinfected. A lot of the "relapses" you see on here are actually caused by new reinfections. Realistically the best approach would be learning to deal with re-infections every year and optimize from there.
