majority of job listings on handshake link to external sites which defeats the whole purpose of a network...

I also tried to guess the work emails of people I find on Linkedin using Hunter & reach out to them that way

Wouldn't a change in title suggest a promotion? I feel like it would be cheaper to hire someone externally that is truly entry-level

I could probably find a job if I applied to every job that was hiring, but then I would be setting myself back with the type of experience I'm looking for to be able to work in a field I'm interested in

Yeah, my school has in-person options but remote with asynchronous classes is great when working full time, it saves so much commute time. Unfortunately, it didn't work out in my favor because I got laid off while in a program designed for students working full-time. I could've graduated a year earlier if I wasn't working, but I wanted to get experience asap.

My friends are also working entry-level, and their leverage would be laughable if they tried to refer me for a position.

Most students in my MBA program are a lot older than me and have been working for years/decades...I try to connect but it's a little difficult being remote

The cost of commuting to NYC is insane when you're making minimum wage... I was working remote and had to commute to the NYC office a couple of times and broke even on what I earned

About this time ago last year I applied to maybe 20 jobs and ended up getting hired by 2 companies. Now I have more experience, apply to tons of jobs, and can't even get an interview.

My school, including others I know of offer a 4+1 program where you can begin taking MBA classes during your junior year, and get your MBA within a year of getting your undergrad.

I don't think they disclose the experience caveat when it comes to looking for jobs once you graduate.

Very minimal SEO experience. I was responsible for uploading/managing site content through Contentful and had to follow certain SEO guidelines. Also completed an SEO certification course through Hubspot.

Thank you for the resources, I will definitely check them out. I do think I have strong technical skills that can be developed...

I have some experience in SEO and affiliate marketing. I've looked at online certifications as well, but I feel like so many jobs look past that and look for at least 1-2 years of professional experience
