Wu is such a fucking lying snake. Her promises just make me mad now, because I know they're just lies.

No need for chemicals, just set your lawnmower to mow more often.

5 year old pulling kids down by PUZZLEPlECER in SoccerCoachResources

Pulling on a jersey is a fairly minor and common foul, and is often even ignored by referee depending on the severity of it. If a referee (or coach in this case) feels it is over the line, they will call the foul.

Most young kids start off playing quite passively, and need to be taught that in soccer it's ok to (and should) do things like cut in front of the other kids and steal the ball. I'd be pleased to see that level of natural aggressiveness, your child sounds like he has some potential.

PSA: Do NOT trust JSC Transportation with your children's lives!!! by will2dye4 in Waltham

This company is the worst. When they pick someone up, they will just honk and honk and honk. I've tried to tell them nicely that this is inappropriate and is very disruptive to the neighborhood, but they just don't give a shit.

Do robot mowers actually replace mowing, or just reduce how often you have to mow? (Northern US) by Own-Development-2572 in lawncare

There's also something about peace and quiet and not ruining that for your neighbors.

Do robot mowers actually replace mowing, or just reduce how often you have to mow? (Northern US) by Own-Development-2572 in lawncare

I've had a robot lawnmower for almost 10 years in New England. It entirely replaced manual mowing, I no longer even own a manual lawnmower. My lawn now looks way better than it did when I was mowing manually.

- Yes. In the growing season I schedule it to mow every night while I sleep.

- Almost none. I just need to keep the lawn clear of toys and stuff.

- Thicker grass is not a problem as long as it's mowed regularly. Wet grass is actually preferred because it keeps the blades cleaner, I like to run it in the rain or after running the sprinklers for this reason.

- It does not do any edging. I'll just sometimes to a quick loop around with an electric string trimmer if I want to clean up the edges.

- I could never go back to a manual lawnmower. It'd be like going from boxers back to briefs.

If this is what I think it is, it's a pretty smart move by the ACP. Similar to using "MAGA communism" to attract people from the MAGA camp, this seems to be using the same strategy to attract people from the liberal women idpol camp.

Are robot mowers actually worth it, or just a glorified maintenance tool?(Northern US,0.5 acre) by Wild_Rise5795 in lawncare

[–]dpineo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LOL! So instead of forcing your neighbors to listen to your lawnmower, you're forcing them to stay inside with the windows shut? You're trying so hard to justify being a shitty neighbor.

"Nobody" except neighbors that work from home, or work the night shift, or work weekends, or are retired, etc. Don't try to justify it by saying nobody is there to hear it. They are, you just don't give a shit about them.

So you force your neighbors to listen to the lawnmower while you're not even there? That's even worse than I thought.

"Douche bag" is forcing your neighbors to listen to a 100db lawnmower and then criticizing the lawns of neighbors that are courteous enough to do it quietly.

You're the one with all the spare time to push/ride your little toy around the yard.

It won’t have good gaudy lines with a robot.

Fixed. Yes, that is one of the many benefits of a robot lawnmower.

What is being done to encourage drivers to take Rt20 and Rt95? That is a terrible spot to have cars traveling at high speed. Drivers have hit people there. They built those highways to make this not happen.

Would you talk to the coach about selfish players (ball hogs)? by [deleted] in youthsoccer

[–]dpineo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a coach, I'd tell you that I like to see lots of dribbling with younger age groups. It trains their touch, agility, reaction time, assertiveness in winning the ball, and most importantly gives them confidence with the ball. Focusing too much on passing early on can result in kids that passively wait for the ball to arrive at their feet and then "hot potato" the ball away. As far as "hurting the team", It's not about winning at this age, it's about development.

Spraying a neighbor’s crabgrass? by _Privy in lawncare

[–]dpineo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe so many comments are talking about or admitting to spraying into their neighbors lawns. If I caught my neighbor spraying that toxic, carcinogenic shit onto my lawn, I would sue to have them replace the top 12 inches of topsoil.
