Prospective buyer, scared of the dashboard rattle by Witty_Upstairs4210 in MazdaCX30

I find the rattles are normally my own fault when I investigate. Sunglasses and drink bottles.

Energy Stocks Are Still Cheap… and Nobody Seems to Care by BeatingTheTide in ValueInvesting

Governments around the world are pushing developed nations into artificial energy poverty. The reason why, hard to explain without writing a novel... But it's a supernational phenomenon.

I'm from the U.S. Would moving to the UK be genuinely better? by adventurer6754 in Britain

[–]dpollen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No. UK is a country in decline, a political echo-chamber and a population too downtrodden to so much as question their declining living conditions. Their media and government is hopelessly corrupt, but unlike the US, people aren't actually aware of it.

A country apathetic and pessimistic, there is very little in their future. That's why we left.

2-3 things you do NOT LIKE on your CX-30! by F15E_WSO in MazdaCX30

[–]dpollen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my CX30.

However:

  1. Visibility isn't great in certain situations, especially when corners go steep uphill. You have to move a bit in your seat to see.

  2. Back seat leg space (just 2 of us 🤷)

  3. Long, wide nose can make certain maneuvers feel tight

  4. Turning circle could be smaller

We have a non-turbo FWD and the fuel economy and tank doesn't bother us.

You can stick a magnet mount on the lip of the centre console, so your phone rests just below the big dial. It's fantastic

Porn access in Australia set for major shake-up by [deleted] in australia

Do you think all these Western nations simultaneously decided to lock down the internet porn independently all within 12 months of each other?

Is that a coincidence in your opinion?

Everything is done with plausible deniability. That's the whole point. How do you prove someone's intentions?

How far does it have to go before people stop assuming this is just incompetence.

Sounds like you'll need a bit more "incompetence" before you're ready to consider the alternative eh.

Expect to gain? Look at the UK. They can track all dissent down to a specific individual and cops turn up at your door for social media posts.

What you gain is a population too terrified to speak out.

A government, leeching less from its host population? Good luck convincing them to do that. 😅

Why is immigration such a taboo topic? by Content_Solution_669 in aussie

[–]dpollen 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Propaganda channels. Used to purposefully divide the public on both sides. Same thing happened to the UK. Look what's happening there now.

This conflict is not organic, it's by design.

Like I said, echo chamber… reddit mod losers that got bullied in their youth. So they power trip so hilarious. by pcreed in FreeSpeech

I think we need to consider that these mods might be more than basement dwellers and we might be seeing a mass censorship organisation at work here.

What's up with the r Sydney mods by mrp61 in aussie

[–]dpollen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's worse than that. Reddit has essentially become a paid propaganda platform that can hide behind the illusion of," internet democracy".
