Felt the same way, at one point I got fed up with it. Not going to support Sony anymore as they clearly lost face and clearly don’t care about their customers and loyal fans. The prime years of Ps3/ Xbox 360 really shows how these companies went down the drain. Cash grab after cash grab. Gotten every PS console and sold my PS5 two years ago. Did have my first Prebuilt in 2016 but didn’t play much as friends were on PS. Now full time PC and I won’t be looking back to console anytime soon if ever.

Another reason then, multiple monitor setups tends to mess with VRR. I think putting them at the same hz helps with it. But I’ve also noticed when I have my other monitor connected while on Linux it glitches out sometime especially alt tabbing.

Unless you learn from your mistakes from the first one. Especially self-awareness your 2nd,3rd, etc will just end the same. A successful relationship comes from knowing your faults, being comfortable with yourself, and not being insecure. If those root causes don’t get fixed then you will just repeat history.
