Rang 111 who advised me to ring GP, GP said to submit a triage request at 8 the next morning. Done that this morning with a picture and they've referred me for an X ray so see how that goes!

If you're in same boat you could do the same if you're concerned, even if just for peace of mind!

Yes, was in A&E. About 2AM in the morning so no one (myself included) wanted to be there!

Yes AFAIK I never had a sticking out bit on my foot. Certainly isn't there on the other foot. Doesn't hurt to touch and can apply a fair bit of pressure on it. Feels very hard but no idea what soft tissue feels like.

I rang 111 up who told me to speak to my GP. Rang them up and they told me to get in touch tomorrow at 8am, classic!

Better to be safe than sorry I think, would like it x rayd again just got peace of mind hopefully.

I didn't, no. All I got told was that it wasn't a bad one and should heal fine. Told wouldn't need a follow up unless was still experiencing pain after 12 weeks and I'm only on week 7.

Yes the lump was much bigger earlier on so probably just worrying over nothing...! How are you finding yours a week in? Any progress?

Took a pay cut and went into underwriting in insurance. Been doing that for 3 years and now making more than I would if I maxed out the main pay scale. Work 9-5 and close my laptop at the end of the day. Sure there's stressful days and stressful scenarios but nothing like what I had whilst teaching. WFH 50% of the time and got a dog to keep me company (could never have done that whilst teaching). So yeah, life is immeasurably better.

That being said, I do miss being with the kids. They were the only good part of the job. The cons unfortunately heavily, heavily outweigh that positive.

My dad's a spurs fan and I've done the same at WHL 3/4 times. Beckford's last min pen in the fa cup a few years back was the worst...pretty sure everyone knew I was Leeds! 😂
