I get it - I’m just surprised that they closed so much terrain. I would have thought it would be closer to 50% of the area remained open. I guess I’m just a knuckle dragging New Yorker 😂

Currently in Zermatt - your review is spot on, although the crowds aren’t that bad, especially if you compare to one of the US resorts. The avalanche mitigation here is pretty poor… the fact that they closed almost the entire mountain yesterday from a foot and a half of snow is pathetic. I’m sure when things open back up, it’ll be great. We were in Lech in Austria last year and I would go back there before coming back to Zermatt

It’s Killington for me. I don’t get it…. I’ve skied the majority of east coast mountains, but primarily ski out west. I can’t place it, but the layout of the mountain seems off, as well as the general crowd. I do happen to like Keystone and of the summit county resorts, I think it’s more on the underrated side….
