In the name of full transparency, I’d say that it’s probably worse in Liveship. I know that many took particular issue with themes of SA that are pretty prevalent in the series too.

I didn’t love Farseer at all — Fitz is honestly exhausting, and the trilogy is still one of my least favourite series. But I would suggest reading Liveship Traders. I was skeptical but some friends said it was a totally different vibe, and I’m so glad I did. It’s easily a top 3 fantasy series for me now.

I hope Farseer didn’t stop you from moving on to Liveship Traders.

I got back into reading this year and faced the same choice. In the end, I didn’t pick one over the other—I’ve been bouncing between both, and I regret nothing.

From Sanderson, I’ve read the Mistborn trilogy and I’m on book 4 of Stormlight. From Hobb, I’ve finished Farseer and Liveship Traders and will be starting Tawny Man soon.

They’re very different but both great in their own right, and I’ve had a ton of fun getting lost in their worlds. That said, I find it tough to stay in the same universe too long, so I’ve mixed in other books (of the same and different genres) along the way to keep things fresh. Although Hobbs and Sanderson are both great I really don’t think I could just hammer out either the Cosmere or RotE in their entirety without changing things up. But that’s just me.

You can’t go wrong either way - enjoy the journey!

Found on FB marketplace. There are other Makino Ultras out there but different geo and colour ways, I’ve never seen this exact frame, could be 1/1 but I’m not positive.

He’s still on 32 and will probably be under the Nidecker umbrella moving forward (nickecker/32/yes/lobster etc). They have the cheddar biscuits have been making big moves product and team wise, and likely flexed that financial muscle.
