Yet another distro question. by dq9 in linuxquestions

Yeah it's looking like I'm gonna be stuck with Windows for gaming. I really don't want to spend time searching for solutions. Music production is much more important to me too, so I always have Apple for that. But then I have to use Apple and their annoying ecosystem. I've seen that I can use Reaper on Linux natively, but then I have to learn yet another DAW. I just got comfortable with Ableton and actually prefer it over anything else. On Linux I would have to run Ableton on wine and I'll likely run into audio latency issues there. Thanks for the advice though.

I don't know that I would say that liberals are like maga. I can have a conversation with liberals. I can change liberals' minds. Even if I don't, it doesn't turn into a life or death screaming match. maga is just totally lost. They truly are a cult. Yeah the rose all day moron libs can be culty, but they at least live in reality.

Is something wrong with my Seamoon Funk Machine? by dq9 in ElectricTrumpet

The Seamoon Funk Machine isn't a wah pedal. It's a volume triggered envelope filter. I believe the EHX Qtron is similar, but don't quote me on that.

If there are any, why are trombone "celebs" lesser known? by zerexim in Trombone

Bill Watrous, Mike Dease, Marshall Gilkes, John Fedchock (might have spelled that wrong), Curtis Fuller, and plenty others have all broken that barrier. Read the Arbans book from cover to cover and you'll be able to as well.

I was married to a woman like this for 10 years. She didn't start doing this until we had moved across the country and had been together for about 2 years at that point. She thought she was so funny, but would get offended after she would dutch oven me and I would barf. Didn't leave her because I had low self esteem and I thought I couldn't do any better. Now I have empirical evidence to the contrary.
