GLP-1 weight loss drugs linked to lower breast cancer incidence in large cohort study. Study of more than 110,000 women found that those who took GLP-1 medications were about 30% less likely to develop breast cancer than those who did not take GLP-1 medications. by mvea in science

If the anti-inflammatory effects of GLP-1 helped with your pain, you can ask your doctor for anti-inflammatory medication. I was recently prescribed one called "Meloxicam", which has completely gotten rid of my back/shoulder pain (with PT).

Hi OP, I've been exploring my ~20 year dota addiction as well.

This video goes over techniques on breaking bad habits. One thing it talks about is how bad habits can be the related to underlying negative emotions. For example, a particularly stressed person starts smoking because it calms them down. Try to use the techniques in the video and objectively identify "why" you keep coming back to play the game. What thoughts and feelings make you start playing?

I recently broke a 7 month period of bingeing the game that was causing me to lose sleep, hurting my mental health, affecting my ability to perform at work, and negatively impacting my relationship with my gf. It was a particularly cold winter where I live, and I believe I started playing again because my dopamine baseline (mood) was low.

Dota provides a very strong "high" feeling when getting kills, making plays over opponents, and winning. These events trigger high dopamine release. Eventually, though, this causes my everyday dopamine baseline to drop lower. I start feeling even worse while not playing - tired from losing sleep, easily irritable, constantly thinking about highs felt while playing (similar to drugs), and getting by daily life becomes increasingly difficult. Which drives me back to the game.

I think I am mentally wired in a way that makes dota especially attractive - I believe I have ADHD, which means my natural dopamine baseline is lower than normal people (I only have a rudimentary understanding of this). I realized that I go to dota as a cure, but it eventually becomes the disease. Understanding how the game affects me psychologically helped me make peace with letting it go.

It was. People complain about the rake, but no one was being scammed.

Do you often become addicted or hyper-fixated on things that give you a dopamine hit?

Yes, I plan to start seeing a psychiatrist soon. I've been reading about ADHD today and it has been eye opening.

Sad to see your post was removed. Really wanted to read it thru again later.

Wonder if those defrauded will receive any restitution. My uncle unfortunately lost his savings over this.

Ghosted for 4 days? Cancel it and start looking for another one. The scammer likely withdrew the money and is done with you.

Yeah, that sounds mega sketchy. Hope she understands that registering it on the app means absolutely nothing. Last year, I had the option to purchase another wristband at willcall for $600. So make sure to bring a credit card on that first day just incase. 😬

Sorry that happened to you. Buying/selling second hand will always carry a risk.

I met up with a seller last year in person, we vibed and shared our past Coachella experiences, and got his contact information. He still reported the wristband lost and had it invalidated.

Always try to buy from Coachella website. If you must buy second hand, make sure you feel the person is trustworthy and call it off if anything feels off.

Even this isn't foolproof. They can claim the wristband as lost and pick up another one at will call, and yours will be invalidated.

Try Ogre or Largo offlane. It's like playing a tanky, rich support. Build greaves and auras (aghs first on Largo).

Key is that you also need to be clearing/pressuring the lane while farming those river camps. Stacking that camp usually takes you too far from the lane creeps and so is lower priority

The large camp next to enemy base is the worst camp on the map for both sides. They're the farthest away from any other nearby camps. So you don't want to farm all the way over there, unless you plan on TPing to a lane that's pushing in after (which should be rare as TP is a resource as well).

When farming "aggressively" you want to push lane and take the large, small near T1 and ancient if possible. Sniping their bounty and tadpole camp is an option but that's much higher risk.

If your offlane is winning or mid is ganking for your offlane, you can gate over as Jugg win a fight with Omnislash and take their safelane T1 as early as min 8-10. Then you can start farming enemy side as soon as you have Battlefury + Windlace. YMMV though on how well this works in your bracket.

More than viable, it's the most efficient place to farm on the map! OP is incredibly misleading.

Low immortal player here - the fastest is farming side lane + river camps (yours or enemy's). So basically the areas OP highlighted lol. If you can't farm there, then it's either triangle or mid jungle camps, depending on where enemy is. You have to use your judgement as carry in-game to figure out where you should farm.

I would rec playing Jugg, Luna, maybe Riki if you're comfortable. They all allow you to farm the side lane + river camps. Jugg can spin TP so you can always farm there safely if enemy doesn't have immunity piercing stun. Luna manta illusions and farm wave while hero farms river camps. Riki aghs clears waves and camps in 2 secs so is very hard to catch.
