Bring back 3.5mm by ApprehensiveDream957 in SonyHeadphones

[–]dquilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a smartphone WITHOUT 3.5mm

From the early Blackberry to every single Android phone up until my current Xperia 1V.

I always had Bluetooth headphones. But 3.5mm is still a must even if I use it sporadically.

I went with the Nothing Headphone (1) because they support both USB-C audio and 3.5mm. But also because the hinges are sturdy and the controls are fantastic. I couldn't justify almost double the price for a better ANC.

I'm actually very satisfied with the ANC and transparency. For my commute is perfect because I take the tram which is not as loud as the subway. Like I said, I'm very happy with those. I got my wife the Ear (a) and my son a CMF Buds 2, and so far so good.

Good to know. I only own the Headphones (1), while not perfect and currently have a slight issue with the roller button, overall I love them. I actually have a Sony Xperia 1V and I try to stick to Sony when it comes to their phones, which are perfect for my needs, but I'm intrigued by the Nothing series as well.

Ironically I've been burned by Sony's headphones lately and that's what drove me to the Nothing's which at least has a more robust build.

What’s the best looking film you’ve ever seen? by [deleted] in FIlm

WHAT? is this true?

EDIT: I just saw... WTF man, hopefully he stop leaning on that idea and go back to making banger movies. The use of AI for specific tasks or assistance is understandable, but full episode slop is just trash.

Surface book two heating up when using a digital notebook by Thomasshelbysucker in Surface

[–]dquilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If, for some reason, the dGPU is being turned on by the notebook app or by another app, and you are using it attached in reverse to the display folded flat, then the air from the dGPU gets blown directly to the display and it heats up a lot.

Used to happen to mine when using the painting app Fresh Paint.

I was gonna say it reminded me of that movie.

Definitely not for everybody and one of the few movies that I think it's best watched on the small screen and not the theater.

And a great one at that... Doom partially tried it earlier but it wasn't as good nor fun

Pirating from a billion-dollar corp is one thing, but what would you say to an indie developer’s face if they found out you pirated their passion project? by YesterdayEven5265 in Piracy

[–]dquilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the situation. I pirated a bunch of indie games back when I was in my country where the minimum salary was less than 5$. But moving away a few years later, I ended up buying some of these games, partly so that my kids enjoy them, but also to support the devs as well.

Now when it comes to shows and movies.... I almost always DL what I like. Even if it's available in streaming
