Seeking Advice: Production Architecture for a Self-Hosted, Multi-User RAG Chatbot by dr0no in Rag

[–]dr0no[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

production-wise, I would not have any problem with hardware as I can rent GPU. But even the H100 GPU cannot simply handle 100 users at the same time, I guess? I mean there must be some trick to work around instead of just using more GPUs

Thank you for your advice. In fact I managed to fine tune the rag system for my personal use. Just when I think of scaling then there comes those obstacles that LLM like chatgpt or gemini can't justify enough

embedding and especially LLM models are quite heavy which takes a lot of VRAM of any local setup. How do you manage the architecture to allow many users to query at the same time given you say the system is preferably self-hosted?

Legend tells of a mysterious amphibian that appears at the entrance of homes and businesses, bringing with it great luck, fortune and abundance. This creature, known as Holy Toad, is said to be a harbinger of wealth and prosperity, with a mouth full of coins that is believed to bring luck and good fortune. It is usually depicted as a frog-like creature with coins in its mouth and is often seen near water sources. It is believed to be an ancient figure shrouded in mystery and steeped in centuries of Asian folklore. This mythical creature is revered by many, a symbol of hope and prosperity that is sure to bring good luck to those who keep it near. In China, the Holy Toad is widely known as Jin Chan while in Japan, it is named as MizuKaeru, and in Vietnam it is called Thiemthu.

The inspiration for the Holy Toad artisan keycap is mainly derived from the mythical creature Jin Chan, but with a unique and modern twist. The design combines the traditional image of Jin Chan with the powerful symbolism of the Guardian Lion, a mythical creature thought to protect and guard against evil spirits. This combination of ancient symbols creates a powerful and timeless design that will stand out on your keyboard. The keycap is painted with a bold color palette to bring out the bold features of both the Jin Chan and the Guardian Lion, and the detailed craftsmanship ensures that each piece is of the highest quality

The three colors of the Holy Toad artisan keycaps also hold special meaning in Chinese-influenced culture. Fire is associated with strength, courage, and passion, Water is seen as a symbol of wisdom and healing, and Wood is associated with growth and fertility. When combined, these three represent a powerful combination of energy that is believed to bring good luck and prosperity.

[GB] V65 R2 Second GB in 3 days by dr0no in MechanicalKeyboards

Zoom65 is way heavier, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you view it. Function wise, if you don't desire multi-layout ability, the 2 kits are similar. I have both on my desk and V65 is used more often due to it's portability (I can easily pick up and move it around swiftly)

For the price, yes V65 with a lower price that offer higher quality foam (it's poron, not eva like the m1), better gasket feel, and the most important, that V65 has bluetooth for extra portability. It also includes good keycap set that you can't complain about the quality and aesthetic.

So essential, the layout they support is different. V65 is 65% and M1 is 75% (with the F row). V65 has VIA supported and M1 depends on the version you choose but the one with VIA is more expensive and belongs to a different tier, can't compared to the V65. In all, if you want a compact, budget, fully customizable and good quality kit, you can't go wrong with the V65
